I’m interested in a G23,, have the G19 and that pistol is extremely reliable all the time.. does the G23 feed, eject, function as good as the 19..,? Some pistols have issues with the 40… why,, I don’t know.. my 45’s and 9’s run just fine.. any feed back Is greatly appreciated.. 👍🇺🇸

I've got the G23.3 and G32.3 in my stable... along with the conversion barrel to 9mm (which works in both)

Both function flawlessly with any barrel swap so far... have used the G32 frame with 9mm for Action Pistol matches just to assure it's functional.

3 calibers, one firearm... What's not to like!

Keep in mind - not all shooters shoot well... Right?

I have not had any issues with .40 in my G32 cases get ejected far away
My G22 is the same way all of my Glocks are gen 3. I mainly run 357sig but the case is similar and it launches those cases...
I have a friend with a Gen 4 G23 and his also runs flawlessly.
Either 19 or 23 is a great choice

I've had G23s all the way back to the year they were first available. Thousands of trouble free rounds. I only recently switched to a 19 because I wanted a gen 5 and I'm not a fan of the bigger slide on the 23.5. My 23's still get a lot of range time, just not my EDC anymore.

Same for me using a weapon light. I carried my G23.3 for over 10 years with a light and not once had an issue, and several thousand rounds through it. I had the same experience with my G22.3 although I didn't carry it but still have thousands of rounds through it. I used both Surefire and Streamlight without issue. The only actual issue I had was with one of the lights itself, the Surefire XC1. Their mounting method didn't play well with the rail on my G23.3 as it sat in my IWB holster, that was all.

G23 is a great pistol and without a WML is absolutely as reliable and accurate as a G19. Gen 3 & 4 G23/G22's have been proven unreliable with WML's. I have studied and tested this myself for my medium sized department (80 gun-toters) and found this to be true. We have tested Gen 5 G22/G23's and found them to be reliable with WML's (and much softer shooting too).

Without a WML, Gen 1 thru 4 G23's are good-to-go!!!

Wow…I’ll tell ya what…you guys love your G23’s a whole bunch.. that’s a good thing.. I started the thread just to see if the G23 was as Trusty as my 19…and it is.. as Trusty… one more for you guys… those Asian military magazines that sell for $8.99 for the 19 and the 23… are they any good…? Factory Glock mags are the best and MAGPUL. just trying to save a couple bucks..👍🇺🇸

Yes, as a general rule, any G23 should be as reliable as any G19. But... you should always take into account that the specific Glock pistol you get turns out to have issues.

Mine doesn't. 23.3

Only with certain ammo thou. If there's very little taper to the bullet profile, the nose will wedge against the top of the chamber. FTFeed. A tap on slide does not chamber the round. It's wedged in there. Haven't calibered the bad rounds to see if OAL is off, but I should

With anything with a tapered nose, it's been perfect.

If anyone has a theory, I'm all ears. Happens with all mags, they are up to date with the #10 follower, newer springs. RSA passes test.

G22/23/27 are very reliable pistols. In my experience, they are more susceptible to user induced error, especially the 27 or 23. Errors such as limp wristing, over gripping and activating the slide lock during firing are two examples I've seen. And, I've witnessed this more with hotter ammo such as 165 and 155 grain. This is my experience with being an LE instructor and the issued or authorized guns were G22, 23 & 27. Take into account that the majority of officers are not "gun guys" and may not have a ton of experience.
