I've shot them many times out of my G26 and G19 with not a single hiccup. Fished some really snakey ponds today in the boonies and decided to tote my Gen G17 full of the CCI shot shells. Good thing I didn't need them. At the end of the day, decided to take out a few turtles. fired off the first shot and I didn't even notice that it didn't eject the spent casing. Next pull...nada. Racked slide to see empty sitting right there.
I guess the slide is too heavy on the G17. I've never had issues with them in my G30 either. Never tried them in my G21. Anyone else have any issues in the larger framed Glocks?

Best news of the day though, I own 21 Glocks and have put thousands of rounds through them and this was my very first hiccup EVER. :)
I can live with that. :)

Revolvers are the best firearms that work reliably with shotshells. The success you report with a G26 or G19 is what is very astonishing about your report.

I no longer carry an auto-pistol for woodland activities, although once I used a G31. My 28-year-old 6-inch full-underlug barrel GP100 with adjustable night sights in .357MAG is my most versatile outdoors firearm by large margin. It handles everything from the weakest .38SPL to the heaviest 700 ft-lbf .357MAG...and shot shells too.

My G31 would be envious, if it had the capability. :)

Never had any issues with them with the G26 of G19. Ever.
My 4" GP100 was my woods sidearm for years until my G20 replaced it about 10-11 years ago.
Normally, if I need shot shells in the woods, I have GP100 with shot shells and a G19 with shot shells. I've never had an issue of any kind until today with the G17. And like I mentioned above, my G30 has cycled every shot shell I've ever ran through it (30-40ish rounds).

I too love the six inch GP 100, have had many of them, got my first
one off of Ron Powers the gunsmith for his gunsmithing class in 1987.

I like the one without the under lug best because it is a little lighter
but love the one like you got too, still have three of them.

Through my thirty years of working on them and shooting them,
tested at 100 meters/yards, all have shot six shots in under four inches,
the load is a 187gr FNGC around 1450 to over 1500 fps.

The 357 is one of my favorite calibers, have nineteen of them.

suddenly I want to tr some shotshells in the G26. I don't think I have ever seen a pistol cycle them.

I like almost anything that puts weight near the muzzle. That feeling is missing from the Glock experience, even with the long slide models.

That's 873 to 934 ft-lbf...impressive! I've never tried anything much beyond 158gr at 750 ft-lbf, but I don't doubt the GP100's ability to withstand those loads.

This is his first sentence,

''I've shot them many times out of my G26 and G19 with not a single hiccup.''

looks like they do function in some guns.
CCI's web site lists the payload weight at 45 grains for their aluminum cased 9mm's. I'm really surprised they would cycle a G26 or G19. Great that the do but as said before, not a 'problem' with the G17. Since they do work with your other Glocks just keep using them for your trips where you have snake problems and leave the G17 at home.

Have you run the 9mm shot shells through anything other than Glocks?

I'd be courious how many other brands would work. I've used .38sp CCI shot shells for critters in the past. I always figured the semi-auto shells would be a one shot proposition and I'd have to manually run the slide.

Learn something everyday!

Exactamundo! If they wouldn't function the majority of the time, then I'm sure they wouldn't be getting $1.50/pop for 9mm and .45 for the past umpteen years. ;)

I am not doubting you. I have tried 9mm ones in a couple of P226s and the .45s in a P220 and they did not cycle them.
