So my next acquisition will be a G19.5 MOS, and a red dot paired with it. I'm intrigued by the SCS as it is low profile and no adapter plate is needed, ive had a chance to handle one with it equippedand I really like the setup.

But before I actually buy one I wanted to hear what those who have the SCS think of it. The initial reviews seemed promising and Aaron Cowen's review was glowing, but wanted some additional data.

I have one and it's a phenomenal RDS, I have approx. 500 rounds through mine and it is very easy to conceal with the low profile. I had a 508T and that thing was huge compared to the SCS.

I like mine so far. I'm still getting used to the lack of a manual brightness adjustment, but at least the auto brightness can be temporarily disabled. You still have the same dot/circle/circle-dot selection like always. I wonder if an enclosed version can be made but I have a feeling that won't be possible due to the screw placement.

Actually, they make an enclosed SCS for the P320. I'm sure they are already trying to find a way to do one for other models as well.

I wasn't aware of the enclosed 320 SCS. That's pretty cool! While open emitter isn't a deal breaker for me, it is nice to have.

I’ve had my SCS for over 18 months. It is great! In fact, I had side-lined my G19.4 MOS, because I didn’t like the suppressor sights. On milled slides, I use Accur8 sights with Holosun 507C, and it works great.
Anyway, once I got an SCS, the G19.4 was put back into use.
In my opinion, if I have a MOS model, the only optic I will use is an SCS. It is that much better than any other combination.
Also - the battery lasts FOREVER! I charged it when I first got it. If I’m not carrying it, it stays in my dimly-lit office. After a year, the optic was still going strong. Once a year, I change the batteries on all my optics. During the battery changing, I set my G19 on a window sill to fully charge.
Don’t be hesitant - the SCS is the way to go for a MOS setup!

With a bunch of research and handling one I pulled the trigger on one. Had to get an MOS 19 to go along with it. Looking forward to getting it all together and getting to the range!

I purchased a SCS last winter and put it on my G45 in place of a RMR06. I really like the fit and function and standard height sights, but I prefer the dot and features of the RMR. The green dot is too bright and blooms worse with my astigmatism than a dimmed RMR red dot. The auto brightness off setting is still too bright. If they came out with a red version with manual brightness I’d buy three more today for my other MOS glocks.

I also prefer red and would like the manual brightness option as well. I have 2 SCS's and they are pretty nice, but there is room for improvement. They are bright though.
