Mr. Elden Carl passed away a few years ago, but his contributions to modern pistol craft are legendary. He was one of the original combat masters and fierce competitor with Jeff Cooper, Jack Weaver, and others. This website is up for now so it's worth reading while it is still up.

Sadly it has been my experience that websites like this do tend to vanish after the author has passed away. It may now be on borrowed time. Not seeing an indicate of anyone actively trying to properly memorialize or maintain it. The DNS expires on 2023-10-23.

Of the original 6 combat masters, I though Eldon was the coolest. Started shooting with those guys back in 1967, between Big Bear Leather Slap and the start of the South West Combat Pistol League. John Plahn was not in the photo.
