And their 💩 steel screws.
I am in the process of of swapping out optics on my Glock 34. I removed the old optic and went to remove the C&H plate that was installed exactly to their instructions including toque spec and one of them rounded out. Fortunately I was able to tap a slightly bigger torx bit into it and finally remove it.
Fast forward to the new installation. Per their instructions I dry fit the t-nuts to find the proper scew again torquing to their spec. (NOT cross threaded). I determined I could use the the next longer screw. But one of the two I just put in to their spec seized in place and is now rounded in my brand new 507Comp. Super. I'm not sure how I'm going to get it out without damaging the optic but I know as soon as I do I'm sending the whole thing back to C&H precision.
This just makes me a more firm believer in the better mounting system of the COA optics. These freakin little screws are for the birds.
