I have a Stag Model 2T. I've a had it for a couple of years now and have put several thousand rounds through it without issue. I enjoy getting it out whenever I can. It's always fun to shoot and never a problem. I have no experience with Del-ton...

Between those two? Stag...why? #1 they are one of the few mid tier makers that offer a lifetime warranty. Plus Stag is the retail face of its parent company CMT which makes parts for ALOT of other high quality AR makers and have been doing so since the Vietnam war.

I own a Stag M8 so you'd think I'd be biased but I'd go for the Spikes, BCM or Daniel Defense upper for about the same price? (maybe a few bucks more but not much?)

I can't comment on the stag since I only have one of their lowers, not a complete rifle. However, I did just get a custom del ton upper half and I was very impressed with the quality of it

I have a Stag 2HT and a Del-Ton 16" A2. I like the Stag better. I have not had a problem out of either rifle but the finish n the Stag is better. Either way I think you will be happy. Although I am tempted by the Spike mid-length upper that AIM has on sale.

I have a DTI upper on a Spikes lower. Quality is good, fit and finish is good. Accuracy is great. I am in the process of changing optics right now so I can reach out a little further but so far to 100yds it is good. Mine came with a Wilson Arms barrel from DTI. It is as or more accurate than a Bushmaster I had and has been trouble free so far. I feel for the money they are a great buy. Upper tier?? No but will fill the role most of us use these for. I know guys that have thousands of rnds through DTI's and have had no failures.
