Of course getting a new Glock 27 means accessorizing it doesn’t it? Anyway I see you can get rubber decals “decalgrip.com” for the grip for 9.95 or a slip on sleeve “Pachmayr” for 9.95 at Basspro. For those who have used them is one and better or worst than the other or is it a personal matter/feel?

Thanks

Both grips are nice, it just depends on preference, the rubber slip grips are hard to get on at first but give you a great grip and the decal sand ones give better traction but can be rough on the skin. I have both and like both.

I have never tried Talon, but I have had good luck with skateboard grip tape down through the years.

Slip-on grips will do just that...slip.

They feel great when you put them on, but when they get warm, and your hand is sweaty or it is raining, and you are a couple of hundred rounds into the shooting day, they will start moving around. I have removed all of them from my guns.

Slip-ons suck.

I like the decals because you get the better gripping surface where you need it, with the least overall increase in the size of the grip. I have a G20 (not the SF) so I just wanted a change in the surface texture without making the grip feel much thicker.

Just get the Talon grips. I 've had mine on for a year now, and can tell you they are worth every penny! Yes, skate board tape works, and you get more of it for your money, but the Talons are pre-cut to your specific gun, no need to fart around trying to get your skateboard tape cut just right. Hogue slip on grips are almost worthless, they add bulk, and like someone else said you sweat or get rained on, and they suck ass for any real traction. I don't know about wearing through a holster, and if you carry, it can be a little rough on the skin. Just wear an undershirt! You could also use something to prematurely wear down the side that touches your skin so it's not as rough.

Go with with the Talons and be done with it,.....Just my .02Cents ;-)

Easy to say living in Minnesota , Try that in Florida in the summer, it can be brutal.
