I think the sandpaper works better, but I prefer the rubber. It’s more comfortable.

 

Agreed. I have granulated on my G17 w/TRL-1s, and rubber on my G26 for CCW.

 

Only have them on one handgun. I put the rubberized ones on a Sig P365. Factory grip was too aggressive rubbing my skin (side)) when carried in a Vedder LightTuck. Solved the problem. Traction Grips (Prior to adding Traction mag extension piece.)

 

I have both and prefer granulated. Rubber just doesn’t give the grip granulated does but when it comes to Talons granulated I always sand them a bit so they are not so aggressive. When I get them sanded right they are the best.

 

I prefer the rubber ones by far.

Have a rubber set on police trade in 22. couple years later they are still comfortable and staying put.

I use traction grips brand, rubber.

 

Having fat palms, with stubby fingers, I don't want to increase the size of the grip - so I use tread tape. I just buy it from the hardware store and cut to fit.

Also, I don't use it on the dominant hand side. I want my hand to be able to rotate around the grip to depress the magazine catch.

 

I rather use the sandpaper style Talon Grips. I like the aggressive surface. I've had mine for about three years now and they are holding strong.

Over the years I’ve tried several different brands on my competition Glocks, but always sandpaper.

My favorite are the Tru-grips, made by Eric Wesselman.

 

I have rubber Foxx grips on my duty gun but have used Talon rubber grips as well. Both have been very good and did not peel off like I was worried they would.

Rubber Talons on every pistol I own. It makes a big difference.

 

Talons! In Rubber! Absolutely excellent brand of stick-on grip! They fit well, work really well, don't come off unless you want it too, and are decently priced. My highest recommendation.

 

On the occasion I’ve slapped them on my Glocks, I’ve always preferred sandpaper.

 

I use Tractions rubberized grips. Work great.

 

I have used the Decal Grips in Rubber, they work best for me.
On some of them I put the Pachmayer Grip Glove over the decal grips. It makes the grip thicker for my long fingers, and softer for carry against my skin, when I carry the G-19, and G-23.

 

I'd buy a role of cloth grip tape from the sporting goods store for $3.99 This gives you the best grip IMO. Grips better than sand paper and won't irritate your skin when carried. Also, it's so thin you don't notice any difference in grip circumference.

 

I'd just simply get AGrip™... but... i'm also pretty biased... and not afraid to toss in a little shameless plug, now and then. Hey, it's for the children... hahaha...

"Decal grip *under* the "slip-on" grip? Never heard of that, before... but, hey, whatever works. Better that than it slipping around. But you could wrap over it with AGrip and it would keep it in place and eliminate any snagging on the rubber.

Cloth tape works... and it's cheap, initially, but in the long run it will prove way more expensive... and... it won't work as well, at all. But, it will work, and that is why the hockey players use it. But they have to pay for it by buying new gloves all the time... and rewrapping their sticks regularly.
