Congrats on the Colt Commander. They are wonderful pistols. Glad to hear it's running well and I'm envious of your situation where you can step out back for pistol practice.

I have and have had a number of them (Commanders) and all have been great.

This one was a blued carbon steel ORM. Ned Christiansen did some customizing on it for me, removed the ORM (at my request), and had it hard-chromed. I love it. I love the box-stock bare bones Commanders just as much, though I tend to swap out a few parts on most of my Colts. The look of the Commander ring hammer always looks great to my eyes.
