Never tried the trigger block because I prefer the trigger guard cover.

With jeans and an untucked shirt, a Clipdraw positioned on the front-pocket edge with the trigger securely covered is hard to beat for comfort and safety.

Amazon sells a selection of different brands that seem to run around $20-$25. Blitz makes the one shown below for all Glocks and some others. MIC has been making their trigger guard covers for a long time. I want a tight fit and complete coverage of the trigger guard. They're also good for auto console and day pack carry and provide an extra safety measure for the night stand gun.

If I received a trigger cover that didn't fit snugly, it would go right back to the seller.

I tried the Saf T Block for a little while, and for me it was problematic because I notice it coming loose sometimes, which is risky. I find the Kydex Trigger Guard (aka Mic holster) to be a better option.
My experience, also. Dumped those babies! If you want minimal or small print, the MIC (or similar) is the way to go, IMO.

Because the STBlock can get knocked out before the clip clears the belt is 1 primary reason NOT to use this type arrangement.

You wanted opinions, correct? Doo Poo happens in life. This is one type of Doo Poo that can seriously injure, or kill you (think femoral artery or pelvic structures-- you will bleed to death quickly before any intervention is possible).

Sounds like some opinions I've read about AIWB carry, but risk of injury doesn't seem to affect the popularity of that method. Just sayin...:dunno:

Same here. I soon tired of safety blocks right after they came out. But the MIC,,, Wasn't invented yet. So, With a 5.5 # pull I just never covered the trigger and went with Side Clips. IWB. No issues.

I have handled both, and own one of those saf-t-block thingies (from the early 2000's), but I would never, ever consider it now, just seems like a safety concern on loss or discharge. I bought a 1911 SA USGI that had a clip draw on it, I could not get the SOB off fast enough! (plus, for some reason, I gouged the crap out of my hand...). Just my .02 worth, from my perspective, as it applies to me, with my life experience, mindset and perception, only...

I thought about one of those but I live in a free state so we carry OWB. The Serpa with the index finger release works great.
Holsters with the finger release are banned from many prestigious pistol training schools because of the risk of accidental discharges with the booger finger as the pistol exits the holster. The thumb release is a safer option (safriland makes a few very fast designs). This also applies to the OP's question.

Under stress/fear your booger finger is 2-5x stronger than baseline, and that trigger will be too easy to make a mistake.

SharkTac makes a kydex trigger cover inside the belt rig that can also be used in a pocket. They make one that fits a 42 and 43.
The only 'clip draw' that ever made any sense to me were on revolvers; as others have noted, grabbing the slide in a hellfire hurry can be an issue.

No
No to safe-t-blocks
No to clipdraw
No to Serpa
No to all of them
All are banned from training and competition because they are unsafe.
Get a real holster.

Or at least a triggerguard holster, or a pocket holster.
Since this thread is posted in General Glocking instead of in Carry Issues, here's an affordable Glock Sport and Combat holster, which is IDPA legal; notice that the trigger guard is protected.

The more I use mine the more I like it compared to the other options, especially during the cooler weather when I can conceal with a lightweight jacket.

I guess I'm going against the majority here but I like the clip draw and SafTblok configuration for concealed carry.
But I did buy online a few Mic slide on trigger covers. I got just about every holster on the market including custom mades, and out of all of them my pick is.
