Cleaning Body of Weapon Light?

I have a TLR-2 mounted on my 19.5. I took it to the range yesterday to zero the laser. I purchased some of these to keep the lens clean for which they did an excellent job. However, I ended up with power residue on the body of the light itself. I've tried a little Hoppe's No. 9, some CLP, and even some 91% isopropyl alcohol without much success.

I'm interested if anyone has found a good cleaning solution to remove this stuff.

I remember reading about someone who would use Vaseline on the lens of the light when shooting . Wipe it off and it is clean. Why not do it for the body?

Of course the weapon is going to get worn from most holsters if you practice enough and slides wear on frames and barrels so keeping the light pristine may be pointless.
