Hanks
Beltman
A&G gun leather
Galco

I’ve got all of the above and am very happy with any of them. The Galco SB7 Fancy Stitch gets by far the most use. Pistols range from Glock 20s to 1911s to Glock 26s to J Frames, always with an extra mag. Most common is a G19 and spare mag since retirement. All of the belts work just fine. None have or need stiffeners.

Kore, I don't think you'll find a stiffer belt out there.

I looked at a few leather belts too. They were stiff (not any stiffer than the Kore) but they were also very thick.

Cant help you on the fat guys part....im what id call over the Dr. body mass index for me height...but IMO if you look at the weight on those they want you at they want you to literally look like you walked out of a concentration camp...I mean when I was(and i was for a long time) 167(5'10") I literally was skin and bones and people always bugged me about if i was ok becasue i was skin/boes/ribs sticking out... I was much better between 180-200.. now im heavier than I want 214 and need to get back to 200... Dr agreed 200 for me was a good weight..so take that as you want.. its "overweight" dont think im fat... but Kore is what I use like it better than velcro belts. if I wanted leather Beltman but I didnt so got kore.

Rob Leahy at Simply Rugged Holsters agrees with you: "Guys: if you have over a 48" waist measurement, we highly recommend a 1.75" belt. This will avoid the "kite string" around the grain sack effect. The wider belt will be far more comfortable for you."

'Not the clearest image, but you'll get the idea; the Kore Essentials belt that I'm wearing below is like wearing a comfortable steel basketball hoop...it stays put, is easily tightened/loosened, is very supportive, and makes carrying my Walther 5" Compact PDP with optic IWB a piece of cake. And when strapping on my smaller carry guns I often forget I'm armed...

That said, IMHO the Kore system is well worth the small investment, and after using it for some time now I don't envision that I'll be requiring another gun belt in my lifetime, other than perhaps another Kore belt of a different material or color, or another type of Kore buckle design, as there are quite a few of each available which can be individually selected/purchased, to create everything from a traditional leather dress to a load bearing tactical style combination to suit most everyone's requirements and tastes.

I just ordered a holster from him. He's only 10 miles down the road from me, so I got a look at his double layer belt. That's a strong one.
Hopefully the holster works out, I'm tired of ordering online.
