Don't think that would work. ACPs are large frame glocks. Those mags wouldn't fit the GAP frame.

The whole purpose of the GAP models, was to provide .45 caliber in a smaller frame. The GAP rounds are closer in length to 9mm.

The idea behind the GAP was a smaller gun with a 45 ACP equivalent load. The 45 ACP magazines are too big for a GAP frame, unless one did some creative shaving of the outside of the ACP magazines and inside the GAP magazine well on the handgun.

If you are looking to get away from the "GAP" cartridge...

The "GAP" series can be rebuilt to 9mm or .40 S&W fairly easily.

Little more than buying a new upper end, and of course magazines.

Works well and get you away from the problem of locating ammunition.

no go on 45 gap to 45acp. The 45 gap was to give near 45 acp bullet weight and size and keep a smaller frame size glock for people with smaller hands. The 45 gap has not been very popular. it is an expensive round to purchase unless your good at internet bulk ammo purchases. I have no time in shooting them , and the pistols tend to get sold pretty cheap. so they make a great gun to purchase used and keep a couple hundred rounds on hand for a little practice if your not going to shoot a lot. I have never heard any complaints about performance or being unreliable. In most cases buying a g19 offers better value if you are going to shoot quite a bit. I also own five 357 sig pistols which also have expensive ammo and that ammo is not everywhere.... putting a 40 cal barrel in a 357 sig gun is a ten second conversion to cheaper ammo that is available anywhere in that case.
