I'm sure this has been discussed, but I could not find anything on the web specific to the Gen 5.

My question is: Are the G17 Gen 5 and G34 Gen 5 frames exactly the same, so that if you buy a G17 Gen 5, and later want to replace the G17 slide and barrel with a G34 slide and barrel, can you do so?

And of course, the opposite: If you buy a G34 Gen 5 and want to install a G17 slide and barrel, can you do so?

If the answer is yes, will any generation (3-5) of G34 slide and barrel work on a Gen 5 frame, or only a Gen 5 slide and barrel. (Not sure if there is any difference.)

First and second questions, Yes. Last question, No. Only the gen5 barrel and slide. The barrel lugs on the gen5 don’t match the gen3/4 full size frame.
