Grabagun consistently has better prices on Glocks than Bud's.

 

I've ordered several guns from them. Usually takes a week to a week and a half from order to FFL. In my experience.

 

All is good! Placed the order last Wednesday and when I logged on this morning, I got the Fedex tracking number. I now understand the e-check process and time-frame. Two days to FFL and I'll have a new toy to play with. Thanks to everyone for their comments.

Putting in a box, and sending depends on the store itself, they will, most likely, send it USPS unless you wish to pay the excessive cost of shipping UPS or FedEx. Depending on where you live and how fast the store is up to 2 weeks.

 

It is a pistol and I have a Fedex tracking number and was just on the Fedex site. Fedex says it will be delivered to my FFL by Friday, 8 PM.

I just got an e-mail from Fedex and the pistol has been delivered to my FFL today at 1:15 PM. Not bad now that I understand the e-check time period. Waiting for my FFL to get it logged into his system and I'll have a new toy. It's been in the 50's and 60's all week, but now that I want to go the range after it's cleaned, it's supposed to be bone-chilling cold for the next 3 or 4 days. Time to kick back, watch some March madness, and sample some of the new craft brews. Thanks to everyone for the info and I will deal with Bud's again.

This. I've ordered a few used guns from Bud's and I would order a new one from them again- but no more police trade-ins. Condition was not up to the description.

 

 

I placed my first order with Buds for a pistol this past Wednesday. What is the usual time frame for processing a firearms order with Buds. I used the electronic checking and they have a FFL on file for the dealer who will receive the pistol. Just curiosity, no complaints, since this is the first time I've bought a firearm from them. My FFL sent me an e-mail; he's ready to receive the pistol. Thanks in advance.

I've used Bud's for many gun purchases, as well as ammo and accessories. On gun purchases, I've noticed their shipping times really depend on a few things: demand for the firearm purchased, how busy they are (i.e. slower in times of "panic"), weekends/holiday ordering, sale firearms, etc. On average, I would say my firearm shipped in less than a week from making the order. Since I have plenty of guns and don't need the gun immediately, I am willing to wait for it to save some money and have excellent customer service should I need it.

 

At the gun show you can see and fondle your firearm, then haggle a deal. I go straight to the big distributors, they just want to move product.

I got my new G42 for 365 + 8 entrance fee and tax = 403.

The pistol is in my hands within 20 minutes of walking out my door.

 

I ordered my gun order from Buds on a Thursday, paid with a CC and FFL was on file, the gun arrived at my FFL on Monday. This was in late January.

 

I have never ordered from these Web companies. What do the FFLs charge for transfers ?

 

I've bought several guns from Bud's; always timely shipping and some of the best prices. Easy to bash a big outfit that does a lot of business but criticism is unwarranted. They have a "chat" feature on the website that is responsive and professional. I LIKE BUD'S!

 

Note too, that Buds has had a disclaimer up on their website the last few days saying they are experiencing a large increased in demand resulting in longer than usual shipping times, etc.

This may be part of the reason for your delay.

 

In my area, they vary a lot. One ffl that's convenient for me is $95 just to do the online sale, another guy that's much less convenient, only charges $35. Most are around $75 at other shops.

 

I pay $20 FFL transfer fees.

I like dealing with Buds.

1. Team Buds ..25.00 and you are a member .. ( im not )
You get faster processing, some guns you can't purchase unless you are Team Buds member .. and such
2. They are pick and choose with guns that are available for layaway...
Other than that no problems.

 

Bought a pistol 3/4 and I had it in my hand 3/7. It was shipped next day!!

 

Damn some of those FFL transfers are deal killers.

Some guns that Buds send may have minor cosmetic and/or mechanical issues as mine had. So, you really want to fully inspect the gun before completing the transfer, if you are more on the pickier end.

Another one.. Listen, it can take up to SIX days for funds to clear from an E-check. Don't blame buds slow ship time on your choice of payment.

You're in Wyoming, so "good luck"! I'm near Houston, so I pay $25. Most of my recent buys came from Buds.

 

We have an oil field tool rental they also sell firearms. They said $20 dollars for a transfer.

 

I've ordered 4 guns from Buds and 3 from Grab a Gun.
All seven guns were in stock at the time of the order.
All seven guns were in my hands in 3 business days,
a couple of them were in my hands in 2 business days.
I've never needed to use customer service at either place.

 

Bud's is REAL busy currently. I ordered on Monday and it just shipped today.

 

Buds is the slowest online dealer period. They also like to play bait and switch. You see the online "cash" price which is pretty good, you call up and want to order and they tell you unless you pay by credit card they can't guarantee the firearm will be available, so you end up paying more. Ordered one gun from them and that was my last. There are just so many better options to order on line with no games and fast shipping. It amazes me how fast I gotten guns from other venders. Buds does get the newest firearms in stock before others.

 

WHAT? oh cmon.. there's no bait and switch, they list both prices side by side on all their guns! Cash/check price, and CC price. You know exactly what they cost before you buy anything. Give me a break.
