I am a BIG Browning Buckmark fan. We have the Camper Stainless and love it. I was wanting to put wood grips on it but wife also shoots it and those might too big for her hands. I have admired the Buckmark Hunter for a long time. A couple days ago I checked Gun Deals and saw that Midway was selling it for $399 shipped and i had never seen it that low before so I bought one and it is on the way to local FFL. I like that it has a rail too that will work nicely with a red dot, thinking maybe Vortex Crossfire 2 or SIG Romeo5. Can't wait to get it and thought I would post the deal link in case anyone else might be interested. Lots and lots of great deals on firearms these days in general.

Our Buckmark Camper. I did put a browning red fiber optic sight on the front since. In my hands the most accurate handgun I have ever fired. Once at the local indoor range was able to shoot a magazine of ten rounds within a 3.0 inch group at 75 feet rapid fire. At 72 years of age I have quite a bit .22 LR ammo and want to have fun disposing of it.

Thanks for that, I just ordered one. I had a Buckmark Camper for years, they're really good pistols.

My gun progression started went:

AR15
10/22
10/22
Glock
Buckmark

Since I got the Buckmark... I kinda don't like shooting anything else. Added a contour barrel to mine and it is unbelievably accurate now* (and it was pretty good before).

* I think I just won the barrel lottery with the contour barrel, since everyone said adding a couple inches to a rimfire equipped with a 3moa dot would not really yield any measurable benefit. I think 99 times out of 100 they'd be correct.

Well I got mine Tuesday evening from FFL. Midway was great, fast shipping with updates and notification that it had arrived at the FFL. The FFL called me right away and I went and picked it up. I used a Midway "preferred FFL" which made it easy and their fee was only $30 which is pretty good for around here.

I cleaned and lubed it and ready to go to range soon. I really like how it fits my hands with the wood grips.

EDIT: Went to the range a little while ago. Ran perfectly with 200 rounds fired with 4 different ammo, CCI MM 40gr, Federal Automatch 40gr, Winchester 333 bulk 36gr, and Augila SE copper 36gr. I didn't bring any tools along but need to adjust rear sight as shooting a bit low. At 7 yards I had no problem keeping 8-10 rounds from a magazine on a 2 inch dot shooting at a fairly rapid pace. This is going to be a lot of fun!

$559.99 now there and everywhere else on Gallery of Guns also. Apparently Browning is one of the price controlled brands that dictates a minimum selling price.
