Blue Label Question

I bought my G19 Gen5 from a Blue Label dealer in Maryland a little over a year and a half ago. The shipped it to an FFL in my home state of Delaware, I did the transfer there and all was good. The purchase price at that time was in line with what what I saw on the GT Distributors website.

I stopped in the same dealer this past Friday as I was in that area doing some business and asked if they had a Blue Label G19X in stock, which they did. I asked the price. The guy said $635 if I paid cash, $665 if I paid with a credit card. I was pretty shocked by the price, as I saw on GT Distibutors the price for a BL 19X was $533.50. For reference the retail 19X at the store was priced at $719, which is about $30 higher than at my local gun shop.

I figured that dealers could set selling prices, but that seems kinda way out of line. Any thoughts on this pricing? Has anyone ordered a BL direct from Glock? How did that process work for you?

I'm going to check a couple of the BL dealers in Delaware to see if they have any 19X's, if not I may just order it straight from Glock.

Best to check around , Blue Label prices can vary
By each retailer
This.. how do I figure out who to use you're asking now I know.. as yes this is it. as this poster said...every "dealer" can actually sell their "blue label" guns for what ever price they decide to price it at. how do i do it. I actually look at Glock, and what they charge then find a place thats closest to their price as i can get...now you have to offset that by travel time/distance gas,etc,etc.. In the OP case $533.50 is what it should list at for blue label...so thats the price you're shooting for.

now a dealer can put a $600 tag on it and still call it a blue label priced LE gun Glock doesn't set the price for dealers, but there is a set blue label price by Glock that it can be gotten for.. and thats the price i shoot for. Now sometimes a dealer will set the price higher and do something like...you walk in and say Glock has this listed as $533.50 for blue label.. they they most likely having done their homework will say...(this is what my local one does also btw) something to the effect of yes but our $ 600 price is probably cheaper now than driving for 2 hours 1 way and a 240 mile round trip to the closest place to get that $533 price...then you have to decide if you want to drive and use the gas to get it for 70 cheaper..how good a MPG does your car get...and weigh that... so lets take 30 mpg or there abouts...thats what 8 gallons of gas for the round trip at lest say $4.00 or 30-35 bucks.... so now youre up to $ about $570 again give or take....now our local range always includes a box of ammo with gun purchase... how much is ammo now... lets say $15 so now youre at a $585 value..for me they also tossed in a T shirt and its a indoor range they let me have my first 1 hour rental at the range free... now im actually making out on my deal compared to the blue label price...

So gotta figure that out, how high above the true BL price the dealer is and yours is a full $100 above true BL pricing...so it gets harder to make that up in savings..also consider that if you order from Glock you need to get it sent to a FFL..how much will they charge?

Back in October of 2020 I wanted a blue label G17 and couldn’t get one locally. Dealers advised that they couldn’t get one in for me at that time. I looked into ordering directly from Glock. I didn’t order one due to a six month wait. I still have the order form on email. That blue label order form doesn’t show the G19X.

Which MD dealer was it? My MD dealer charges $75 more (blue label) than GT distributers but I figure it was the price I pay living here.

Good on you for checking GTD pricing.
They are often the lowest.
Another way to get an idea on what is honest pricing is to check the GSSF Pistol Purchase Program.
And finally, use the dealer locator at the Glock website to see who really are the Blue Label dealers.

We have a BL dealer that is higher than others. I always check to see which dealer's have what I'm looking for and what their prices are. I picked up a G19 Gen 5 MOS for $489 with stock sights on Saturday from a BL dealer in Manasas.

Glock has made it clear that if they find a BL dealer charging far more than the BL MAP (or equivalent), they can lose their BL status and potentially their authorized dealer status. We had a LGS that lost their ability to sell Glocks due to documented price gouging and have to acquire from distributors or buy from other shops to meet customer demand. In an AAC I attended last fall, it was a serious topic how Glock will go after shops selling/gouging on BL prices.

From Glock's website: Dealer Prices may vary and are not set by GLOCK. Most pricing will be $75. - $100 off the retail price depending on the model and sight configuration.
