Looking for advice on a concealed carry holster for my glock 30. Any advice on which holster and why is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Eric

My friend recommended I get a comp tac minotar. Any opinions?
I had on and sold it to buy a CBST. The biggest issue I had was the slick back that required the belt to much tighter because the holster would want to slide down. With the rough back of the CBST the holster doesn't slide down and the belt doesn't have to be so tight. The M-Tac looks better made but the CBST is much more comfortable.

It's hard to beat the glock sport holster. While still learning, many find IWB to be more easily concealed. I find OWB to be more comfortable and every bit as concealable, but I've been doing it for a long time, and my body shape lets me. I still use a crosbreed supertuck and a sidearmor iwb occasionally.

The hybrid (soft back) holsters are very comfortable for all day users as they form fit to your side. They are somewhat difficult to re-holster as the shell collapses a bit when empty making them less suitable for someone who draws a lot. For a "draws-a-lot" person a hard shell may be better. I've had both and since I only draw if attacked (not so far after several years) I prefer the hybrid.

A loaded G30 or G30sf is a bit heavy for us well past retirement folks (read old farts) so the double belt clips makes a big difference in spreading the load. I carried a Colt 45 1911 in a single clip holster and even my good belt sagged and twisted. To make it hold right I had to tighten the belt well past comfortable.

As mentioned above make sure a non-slip backing is a requirement, and for me a non-sweat back is also.

There are many preferences out there but for me I carry the Garrett Industries Silent Thunder Fusion. It is a hybrid with a swede back over a thin foam for comfort and the front hard shell is leather lined to reduce holster wear on your gun. I carry just behind my hip bone and is made to hold the grip snug against the body.

It's worth taking a look at in your search. Best of luck to you as if it's not comfortable you likely won't carry as often as you should. At my age I can't fight nor run so it's pepper spray is my left pocket and my gun on the right. Haven't used either to date and I hope I never do but I feel safer with it.

For me, a Comp-Tac MTAC is the most comfortable and concealable (plus you can use their V-clips and tuck in your shirt while using a Velcro-lined belt - EXTREMELY concealable). And their Infidel Ultra is also quite comfortable, plus much easier to don/doff. But it is thicker and a good bit less concealable.

So, for work, it's an MTAC for me. For being out in public, it's the Infidel Ultra.

I work with two different holsters for my SF. For all day carry, my Alien Gear gets the nod.

For grab it and go, or when I have to remove it a lot during the day, I use my Remora.

I find either to be comfortable, and both are inexpensive.

For pure comfort it is hard to beat a Nate Squared. You can beat it at other things but not comfort.

I normally carry at 1:00 o'clock. When I was carry a G30 it was either in a Raven Vanguard 2 or a JM Custom Kydex AIWB rig. If you prefer 3:00 carry I would look hard at JMs IWB version 2 and then add a The Raven VG2 for when you needed a really low profile option. Those two holsters would cover every situation and both are very comfortable.

I am NOT a fan of IWB carry of any type and don't personally use it for any of my guns, but John here is correct, the N82 IS the most comfortable concealed holster I've ever used. I've tried a LOT of really NICE IWB holsters too trying to make it work for me (Sparks, CBST, Raven.......) and while the N82 is not the "prefect" setup, it is by FAR the most comfortable ever.

Personally I run either OWB carry or pocket carry depending on the gun and dress, but concealment wise IWB and the N82 is hard to beat.

Anyone who's on the fence about the N82, TRY IT! I really don't think you'll go wrong with it.

I always recommend either galco combatmaster or Bianchi 57.
The latter being more flexible as it will fit more pants types due to the belt loop slots being closer together
