Best Light for G45?

I'm looking for a light to put on my Glock 45. I'd rather not spend a ton on it but I do want something of solid quality. Any recommendations?

Define "a ton". What's the intended use of the pistol? Surefire and Streamlight are awesome platforms that are built like tanks, and have excellent customer services.

LAPG has a decent Streamlight - Surefire knock off for about half the price. I have a couple and they work just as well. Its just a basic light, but its really all you need.

They are showing them out of stock right now, but they seem to have them on a regular basis and will email you when they get them in....

I also have Streamlight TLR1's, and TLR1S's, as well as Olights. They work well too, and the Olights are almost too bright for inside use, but great for out in the yard at night.

Without question, Surefire used to make the best handheld and WML out there.

But several years ago they began outsourcing a large number of components overseas and their overall quality and reliability took a big hit.

While still decent lights, they're not the bomb-proof kit of the mid-80's thru 2008 era.

SF without Paul Kim will never be the same.

I have one of those in tan, the controls on that light suck and no doubt will fail under stress...I have the larger Valkyrie and it has much better controls on it...

that being said if I were in the market for a light it would be the streamlight tlr 7

If you go the Streamlight TLR-7 or TLR-8 (both outstanding lights which I highly recommend) go with the "A" version of either since it puts the switches out back instead of on the side. They come with 2 different back plates with 2 different style switches to suit your need. Price is pretty similar to the side switch versions.

I have exactly the same set up on my G45 (except I have raised irons installed), this is my go to at night, and goes with me in my lap top bag every day. The light is bright, the laser easy to pick up even in bright light, and the rmr is pretty much perfect for me.

I have streamlights on a few pistols and no problems, I also have the Surefire 400 on a couple with no issues.
I have a surefire 300 on my .22 as well, works very well.

The Streamlight TLR 2HL is even better on my carbines, 1000 lumen, selector switch, easy triggers - I am looking at mounting on one of my full size 1911s next.

The Streamlights are a bit less money, but there has been no issue with quality, functionality or accuracy.

I have never had an issue with my Surefires either.

I have a TLR 8 with the older switch. While I like the light, I do not care for the switch. The rocker on my TLR-2 green laser or X300 are my strong preference. But for the price, the TLR7/8's are nice, and the size is smaller. I just don't care for the switch. OP, make sure you compare them, as they are different than some of the more expensive options. I don't own the A version that Nagoya10 noted, but the switches are less than ideal on the other version. Not horrible, just way more awkward and less instinctive.

For ease of use, I prefer the TLR1, but if smaller size for carry ease or appearances matter, the TLR 7/8 are nice. I am curious about the Tru-glo light/laser, Olight, Spartan, Inforce, and Viridian, but when it comes down to it, I always seem to go with either SureFire or Streamlight.

I would say for your budget, get Streamlight for sure. They are great lights and don't break the bank.

Since it is for HD, I would get the TRL-1 TRL-1 Light Amazon.

It has more than enough light, is super tough, and there are lots of holster options if you ever decide to go that route.

I know it is over your budget by 25 bucks, but I would rather save for a couple of weeks to get a much better product than some of the other suggestions here. Just my opinion.
