I'm getting the hint that no one here has any experience with the PWS Summit, but it bet you all know about 10/22 barrels. I'm looking at building a precision 22. Right now I'm leaning towards a KIDD 16.5" Barrel, but want to know others I should consider.

I ordered all the parts to complete my build today. I'm hoping it will be a unique and accurate precision rimfire.
Here's the build list
PWS Summit toggle bolt receiver
PWS match trigger
KIDD 16.5" threaded match barrel
Victor Titan stock

I couldn't get the action without the trigger or it would have a KIDD trigger as well. However, the PWS trigger is supposed to be great so I'll probably be cool with it.
The stock is very interesting too. Built in aluminum bedding blocks should make it rock solid.

I built the trigger in my red rifle from parts and it's really nice. I have five with BX triggers and for the cost and ease they're hard to beat. Kidd stuff seems to be at the top of everyone's list of good barrels and parts.
I've got a Volquartsen carbon fiber steel lined barrel that seems to be very accurate but is on a Open gun with a CMore so I've never really had a chance to prove how well it shoots.

I'm familiar with the PWS Summit. I picked one up to do a build with a threaded Volquartsen barrel for use with a suppressor -- no 10/22 action noise. The version I have requires a 77/22 barrel, NOT a 10/22 barrel, due to a different extractor set up. That is the one problem I have with my build -- works fine with dummy rounds, but frequently will not extract a fired round. I've played around with it, but none of the easy solutions have worked. I set aside as a winter project.

I'm lucky to have an excellent gunsmith as one of my sponsors. He can make anything work so I'm not worried

No other worth consider unless you've got money to flip in the wind.

I built a 10/22 with Kidd barrel. I could take out staples that people left on the target board at 25 yards, repeatedly.

The only problem I had with 10/22 is that "it" used too much ammo at a time when 22lr was hard to find. You shoot because you can, not because you are ready......
Oh, trigger was another issue, unless you want to spend $300 on the trigger. If there's a 5-ounce trigger for 10/22, I would have stayed with that platform.
Archangel was the best low cost stock for that one.

I have an E.R Shaw barrel on a 10/22 that I am very happy with. Doesn't match Ed's group, but close.

The Kidd you ordered will be excellent.

Volquartsen made my barrel and it's quite satisfactory. Pretty tight chamber but it chambers the good ammo just fine. Fifty yard groups on a quiet cool morning with the sun behind me are one hole.

Enjoy your Kidd. You selected wisely.

I've got a Hart .22 barrel I considered threading and threading the action to install but couldn't get much info on what needed done so I gave up on it for now. I just finished a couple low end 10/22 builds that puts me at eight 10/22s plus a pink one my wife has.

On my bench rig I have an ER Shaw bull barrel I'm very happy with. It shoots dime size groups at 50 yards.
