Local Gander Mt has a nice used 9mm carbine for $550.
How do I tell what kind of mags are used?
Also, if it uses the 92 mags (which is the one I want) is the price good?
Seems like the 92 models are $$$ more than the others.

The easy way is to ask them to grab mags from a display 92FS and Px4, see which matches the Cx4 mag.

I just bought a Beretta CX Strom from CTD new for $550 + $10 shipping. (It has been a long time since CTD has had good prices.) It came with a hard case and extra magazine. I have a Beretta 92 and those magazines will not fit the carbine. The weird thing is how similar the CX Strom magazine is to the Beretta 92, the CZ 75, the Browning HP, the S&W 659, the Ruger 95 and the H&K USPc in 9 mm. If you have a double column 9 mm and the same grip angle they have to be close but none of them interchange.

Yes I have all of the above handguns and I will now have to buy Beretta Strom magazines.:whistling:

I would like to know more about the magazine adapter to use Beretta 92 magazines.

Looks like a cheap fix to be able to use the 92 mags in the Storm.

I recently bought a Px4 mag version and converted it to 92 mags. Mine was 600.00 Seems like the price has gotten a little more reasonable, for awhile they were going for 800ish.

In addition to the mag adapter sleeve you will also need a 92 mag catch

Brownells has a kit with both, currently out of stock though.

Depending on your mechanical skills the conversion is pretty easy.
If I remember right the sticker on the box should say what type of mags it takes.

My CX Storm uses 92 mags without a problem. I wonder why mine is different. I have the 2 mags that came with it and I purchased 3 92 mags from a local gun store. Havent had a problem

Because they ship different versions. Some are set up for 92 mags, some for Px4 mags.
