Looking at a BCM PNT trigger assembly for my new build. How is this trigger out of the $50 to $75 triggers? Was also lookig at the RRA National 2 stage trigger but I never used a 2 stage trigger in any builds or felt one.

I would think that the BCM is like a mil spec trigger that doesn't suck.
That is the description of the ALG triggers as well.
Not bad for the money.
Get it if all you want is a mil spec trigger that doesn't suck.

I think for s bigger step up it would be the G2S trigger.
Noticeably improved performance for not too much money, especially if you can find it on sale or part of an enhanced lower parts kit.
(Rock River and all the cassette triggers intentionally excluded)

It is basically BCMs version of the ALG ACT. I have a Spikes battle trigger that is their version of the ACT trigger and ALG ACT triggers. Never tried the BCM but hear it is very close to the ACT. The Spikes Battle trigger has a lot more creep the ACT.

A buddy of mine has the PNT. It’s like a cleaned up mil- spec. For me, it isn’t enough of an improvement to justify the money.
I have a RRA NM 2 stage in one of my rifles. The trigger pull is very light and it’s good for it’s intended purpose, Camp Perry or varmint hunting. The reset is long enough that I can short stroke it during rapid fire. So for defensive purposes, it’s out.
I recommend spending a little more money and getting the Geissele G2S.

The ACTs are pretty consistent triggers in my experience, in pull weight, creep, etc from the several I have. I have found the trigger pull is a little nicer with the included trigger pins versus KNS pins. I removed all the KNS pins I had with ACT triggers now.

The ACT comes with two hammer springs, a milspec and a reduced power. The reduced power (purple) drops the pull weight down to around 4.5lbs.

I have several ALG ACT and for the money, I think it's a fantastic trigger. So is the Sionics Enhanced trigger. They are very close IMO. I love BCM but the PNT (my example anyway) is not up to par with the ALG ACT or Sionics Enhanced triggers.

I also have some higher end triggers SSA, SSA-E, SD3G, however lately I've been going with the ACT more than anything else.
