The AR is my range only gun. HD one stated home this time. Anderson Mil Spec Lower, Aero upper with BCA 223 wylde SS 16 inch barrel. I am about at the 500 round mark. Initially thought I might have to go to a gun smith or send this one back to the vendor for feed ramp issues. Frequent failure to feed while hitting bolt release or using charging handle to chamber a round, and also sometimes when firing.

It has gotten better gradually though. I guess something that was rough has started to wear smooth. I was able to consistently chamber today across old and new magazines and different brands using both charging handle and bolt catch without an FTF and only had a few malfunctions while shooting. Probably gonna take it out a couple more times and see how it behaves.

Unfortunately I left the Colt Mark IV 9mm on the counter in its pistol case after looking forward to taking it out all week. So I sighted in the new Cheapie amazon optic on the rifle, which did surprisingly well, then ran a few vest check drills and then called it a day after 120 rounds through the rifle.

On the bright side I guess I can say I saved my 9mm ammo for another day.

Put a new light on the MK18. Waiting for my efile form 1 to clear. Should be any day now.
And then I picked up this SOLGW 13.7 rifle today with Vltor A5. Not sure how I’m going to set it up yet. Maybe an NX8.

Got my LWRC IC-A5 zeroed in and rigged up for the apocalypse. I must say that I like the surefire scout light with the new mount which comes with both pic rail and MLOK attachments.

Wilson Combat Protector is ready for protection duty.

I changed the OWL light out for the Surefire Scout with the new mounting system. Love the OWL but it’s a hefty beast and I want to keep the Wilson light.
I think I will mount that OWL on one of my B&T rifles.

Cool. I like that light. I have a Cloud Rein Micro on my MK18. Fantastic light but still bulky for a micro light. I’ve been meaning to order the mini scout light pro to try on my 13.7”. It’s so clean and compact.

On another note, My form 4 tax stamp came in yesterday so I picked up my Silencerco Omega 36M. Stupid me forgot to plan ahead and get muzzle devices though. Luckily, was able to find a 5.56 brake in stock so should have the MK18 suppressed shortly.

Nice! I got a 10.5" LWRC DI for Christmas with a T2 and Streamlight. Love this gun and it's ambi controls.

Wilson Combat PPE. Essentially this gun is the Wilson Protector but with a lighter barrel and slightly different markings. Otherwise everything remained the same as the Protector series.

the markings differences are: the PPE does not have “Protector” marked on the left side of lower receiver, no “5.56mm” marked on left side of upper receiver and doesn’t have the Wilson Combat logo marked on the bolt carrier.

the PPE was a Davidson’s distributor special. MSRP was $1950, which is cheaper than the Protector that has MSRP of $1999. I assume that the cheaper price is due to the slightly thinner barrel.
