Apex Action Enhancement Beware!!!

I did not want to have to post this but due to my naive attempt to contact Apex for resolution I was forced.

I recently purchased 2 action enhancement kits for a Glock 19 Gen 5 and a Glock 45. The kit includes an Apex trigger on an Apex trigger bar and an Apex negative connector.

Everything dropped in easily (I am a certified Glock Armorer). I conducted function checks on both firearms and noticed that the Glock 45 had what I would call a “double re-set” meaning upon pressing the trigger, racking the slide and allowing the trigger to re set, it re set with a click about half way and then re set again to the full wall…

This is bad, right? I contacted Apex and talked to a tech named Cory and he did a bunch of double talk about how I didnt really feel that and that I need to polish the connector with 600 grit sand paper…I explained that this was a carry firearm and I didnt feel comfortable gunsmithing a brand new part of a $130 kit…He said he “could” send a replacement but there was no guaranty the same thing would not happen…

Is it me or is this a bizarre response to correcting an obvious defect and possible legal liability?

The posted picture is of the connector in question.

At this point, I'd also chalk-up the ApexTactical usage to experience. I've found my brief experience with ApexTac to be ~50/50.

Go with a Glock-brand minus connector if ~1/2 pound less trigger pull is desired vs. the "dot" connector.

Alternatively, do try ApexTac's suggestion to sand/polish its supplied connector as it's either no good to the OP anyway, and might actually fix it. Note, I don't understand what's going on with that double reset issue, but perhaps there's some kind of burr on it somewhere.

I liked ApexTac's J-frame spring and firing pin kit for S&W revolvers, but I had mixed results with its Glock FRE extractors.

Aftermarket parts always worry me.

The manufacturers simply do not have access to Glock's component variation analysis nor their geometric dimensioning and tolerancing schemes which determine part reliability and function especially when you leave the heart of dimensional bell curves.

They do not have access to OEM engineering drawings or CAD so they are guessing at everything including basic nominal dimensions.

Something from the car industry:
bolt ons and additives don't deliver the performance promised.
3-5% HP increase,
Everyone knows that each "performance" brand sticker on the car adds 10HP.

Perhaps the simplest answer is something like this:
does your gun work ( fire when trigger activated, feed cycle etc?) if answer yes change nothing.
not broke don’t fix, accept the limitations of the machine as is and run it as is, or go to a different machine that better suits your needs.
As a soldier ( since retired) they handed you a weapon and if it functioned you went to war with it.
same with cops and issued weapons
civilian shooters, would be best served by doing the same. Unlike soldiers and cops, you have the option of changing to a different gun if the one you have in hand doesn’t suit you.
