Since I ruled out using no backstrap after shooting all over the target, Ive been experimenting with the backstraps and they keep playing mind tricks on me. Just when I think the regular medium is the one for me, I try the large at the range and shoot better with it. Then the next range visit, I start with the large from the previous visit and wind up shooting better with the medium. I have not tried the beavertail backstraps at the range yet at all. Matter of fact, tonight was the first time I even installed one (#1 - medium) and dry fired with it. The gun deff seems "locked" into my hand better, which seems it would help with controlling fast follow up shots / recoil. I also seem to point the gun better and get the sights lined up much faster. My mind could be playing tricks on me again since its "new" and I want to convince myself the medium beavertail is deff the one to keep on.
Besides helping with slide bite (which I have never got on my 26 or 19), does anyone feel the beavertail helps them shoot better / more accurate?
