I owned one, sold it. They are reliable and accurate. I had a quad rail with the M4 collapsible stock, and an Eotech plus BUIS. Very heavy set up. If you really want a 9mm carbine, better to get an AR15 than screw around with conversions......even a Kel Tech SUB2000 is a better investment.

I bought one that had the G22 frame installed and a red dot on it.
It was the same size as an AR (or close enough) and I really wanted the 22 frame so I could build a dedicated 22lr AA kit/practice gun.

I only put 100 rounds through it before I flipped it for about 150 with the dot included. I would say it was OK, but not the Be-all, End-all of accessories.

I checked and found that the Mech Tech kit for my G21 costs as much as the long-anticipated Hi-Point 4595. I've never owned a Hi-Point, but for the money I'd rather get a whole gun, not something that disables my G21. Plus, the USA manufacture and lifetime transferrable warranty are worth considering.

I've been looking at one in 10mm, thought that would be fun with my G20. By the time you buy a dedicated lower and some options, your almost at the cost of an Oly. AR in 10mm. The money just doesn't make sense to me. Plus your limited to 15 rounds, same as the pistol. I just can't pull the trigger.
I bought the Kel Tec 9mm glock carbine. Haven't shot it yet, but I love the small size. Fits into a laptop bag with 10 or so 33 rd mags. My buddy got one in 40. I'll let you know when we go out shooting them. Plus it was like $350 out the door for the 9mm, brand new. My buddies used one was $250.

No, and I am not going to try one until the BATFE reinterprets the NFA. Under present guidance from the BATFE technical branch, using the Glock receiver in the Mech-Tech carbine conversion kit is the act of making the Glock receiver into a rifle. Thus, removing the receiver from the kit and reinstalling the Glock upper is defined as "making a short-barreled rifle" which requires a Form 1 and $200 tax.

I know the law makes no sense, but I am not risking a federal felony charge to try it.
