I have been thinking about undercutting my glock 35 and will probably go ahead with it after watching a bunch of videos on it.

I'm curious though to hear from the other side of the camp if there is one.. Anybody undercut and regret it??

Or worse; anybody try to undercut and foobar it up??

What I have done is like a CCO. I recently used my g43 frame with a g48 complete slide. That way I get the best of both worlds. Extra length where needed for sighting, and, short frame which is best for conceal carry. I don't get the 10 or 15 rounds in it, but, I do get 8 rounds. With the use of a maggut upgrade and pearce +1 mag extention. Also allows me to get a full grip yet retain shortness of grip length as you can see in the picture.

I undercut all of mine.

I start with a dremel and sanding drum....on low and go very slowly.....take your time

Once I get it to where I want, I use 1000 grit sandpaper wrapped around a small dowel rod to smooth it out.

I'm glad I did mine....they feel much more comfortable, especially during extended shooting sessions. I tend to shoot ~200-400 rounds when I go to the range.

My 19 is cut...like Ranger said...if you have some basic skills with hand-tools...watch the videos...take it slow...maybe practice on a piece of wood first to gauge the angle and cutting speed

There was a cracked frame from an undercut posted here in the last month or so. I've done two so I'm no expert but I'll say this: If you do it with a dremel be careful. If you take it to the depth you want with the dremel it will be even deeper after you clean it up. Leave it shallower than you want it then take it to final depth and clean it up with sandpaper/dowel. The first one I did came out great but a little thinner than I had planned. lol.

My MR918s are undercut, I really like them. I would not do it myself - something about a man must know his limitations or such ;).

My 26 does not have one, but I am going to pick up a Poly 80 26 frame and it comes with one.

This is how I did my 26. No regrets. I'd get Glock knuckle pretty bad so I needed to do something.

My hands are large, but if you want to compete in standard divisions in GSSF they originally denied the convenience. I have undercut (3) 26’s and (3) 30s and have a healed Glock knuckle after dropping Competing in GSSF.
I have left (3) 17’s alone in case I have a change of heart.
Easy to do and beneficial to those that shoot a lot with small platforms.

How much benefit will you get from doing it? Is it a real need for you?

I don't really see how making that permanent modification could help me shoot a Glock any better. But then, that's me.

I'd say, find someone who had it done and ask if you could try. Then, make your decision from there.
