Haven't bought a complete rifle but I'm 90% done with a 300blk pistol using an Aero lower, M4E1 upper and enhanced hand guard. Though I haven't shot it yet the parts look to be on the up and up.

Friend has a S&W, shoots fine. No experience with the Rugers but haven't heard anything bad about them. Del-Ton, DPMS, and CORE can be found in your price range if you're looking to muddy the waters with more options.

Not sure if you are wanting to build or not... but their kits are pretty good.

Just built my first AR15, and really bummed I didn't do it sooner!!! Tons of YouTube videos on building....

I am certain mine came out $450 for the build, but then again I got a deal on a $60 lower too...

Take a look, you might find something there...
Hope that Helps...

I have an Aero barreled upper with their free float handguard and a couple of their stripped lowers. Top notch. They use Ballistic Advantage barrels which are very good.

I only use aero precision uppers and lowers if I am building. My 3 gun ar, 300 blk pistol, general purpose ar and my lightweight ar are all on aero lowers and a couple of them are on aero upper receivers. Dollar for dollar they are the best bang for the buck receivers. Nice flared magwell, tension screw and great over all fit. If your wanting to get one assembled it is tough to beat Palmetto State armory. They have a slew of upper assemblies and lower assemblies. Just pick what you like and put the two halves together. I got their premium free floated upper with a FN chf barrel and a magpul lower with the enhanced trigger for my g/f during a sale. It shoots moa at 100 yrds with cheap 55gr ammo and the total cost was less than 700.

I have also had great performance out of my PSA premium uppers with FN barrels. They are an outstanding value. Mine have been 100% reliable and plenty accurate.

I have an AP stainless barreled upper with a M-lok hand guard and their BCG. There’s a short review of it on this sub-forum, somewhere. In short, it’s sub moa with good ammo and 100% reliable. As someone else said, they use Ballistic Advantage barrels, which are well thought of.
