Good luck.
The first week of September, I was supposed to train with Mike Pannone and Kyle Raisbeck. A week before the class, I still hadn't heard where to meet. Upon making contact, I was told, in an email, that the class was just not going to happen, at that time and they would reschedule it. No reason was given, and I hope nothing bad happened-though, I would guess they don't just cancel, out of the blue. I was provided a refund a couple of weeks later. My disappointment level was quite high.
The second week of October, I was supposed to go through TMACS pistol and carbine (4 days) with Pat McNamara. That got cancelled ten days before the class was to go. Reason was: one agency was going to send five guys (out of 14) and cancelled. This wasn't hosted through Alias. Even though there was a waiting list, the decision was made to cancel the whole thing. I had 11 days notice.
My disappointment level here was even higher. Not because I valued the training more, but because I have 2,000 rounds of ammunition I bought, just for the class. Of course, I don't mind having the ammo, but I would have been better off having the several hundreds of dollars, than the ammo on the shelf. Then, there's the time off I took and moving other people's schedules, for nothing.
I'm hoping they both try again, this time, with the idea that cancelling less than 30 days before the class start date means you only get part of your refund back. I'm really pissed at the agency that pulled their guys. Part of integrity is dong what you say you will do. They screwed all nine of us who were paid up and five guys who were on the list and willing to follow through. I can only imagine how pissed their guys are.
I'm still waiting on my TMACS refund-$1,100.
I'm sure they provide great training-if you can get them to show up.
