Do any of you guys keep any factory ammo for you range guns? I have quiet a bit of 9mm Win. white box. I have plenty of powder, primers, bullets, and cases. I'm thinking I should shoot the factory ammo 115 gr. I have the recipe for my glock for that gr. bullets.

Now. I'm starting on 124 gr. Heck, better yet, 9mm is 115,124,and 147 gr. How does one determine what their favorite bullet is to shoot? Availability? I know there are some powder differences for those bullets. Is there an instance where one gr. bullets is better than the other?

Hell, I'm just sitting here having dumb thoughts. I'm good at that.

I have some of both. Majority of it is reloads though. The only factory ammo I have is for my family to use at the range. I do not let anyone else shoot my reloaded ammunition. It's just a personal presence for me. As far as bullet weight, I have stuck with the 115gr or 124gr.... whatever I find a good deal on. I hope you have a Merry Christmas:thumbsup:.

I have zero factory ammo except for self defense pistol ammo, 22 LR, and shotshells.

I load everything except 22 and shotshells.

Bullet weights are a personal and gun preference. However, when components are handy, I think it is a good idea to get a wide variety of proven loads recorded in the load log book. That way you have a wider list of components that will be known to work in your gun(s). That makes it easier for component shopping when things are scarce.
