Looking for cheap-but-good ball ammo for practice in my G42.
I bought a box of "Fiocchi .380 Auto FMJ Training Dynamics, 95 gr/960 fps." "380AP"
Headstamp is "G.F.L. 380 Auto"
Out of 50 rds, 3 were a little tight in my shell checker but all were still loose enough to plunk in my G42 barrel.
Average of 10 shots chrono'd at 907 fps, a little slower than they say on the box but still slightly faster than any other 95 gr I tried.
Accuracy seemed slightly better than the PMC I have been using, no malfunctions in 50 rds.
Does anyone else have experience with this ammo? I'm thinking of buying a case or two, prices are good right now.

BTW, I had been using new manufacture Freedom Munitions/LAX Ammo (same ammo) 100 gr plated and liked it, but my latest batch are giving me 1-2 stovepipes or failures to extract in each magazine in a gun that still works with everything else and had gone 5k rds without any malfunctions

Fiocchi and Sellier & Bellot FMJ are my go-to ammunition for both carry and practice. Most .380s are pretty marginal in the velocity department, so I prefer FMJ to HP bullets in this cartridge. They penetrate consistently well in gel testing, even if they do not mushroom. In addition, these two European producers tend to load hotter in this cartridge (the .32 ACP also). Finally, I like a round nosed bullet for small or blow-back guns as they have better feeding and higher sectional density.

Not vast, but yes ive shot it same results.. I dont measure or do any of that just buy it and shoot it.. and for that it worked 100% as you said yours did. Id say I have shot 2 boxes through mine and have 1 left.. Bought the last 3 boxes in a LGS before it went belly up.(LGS is reopening under "new management" thank god the last guy sucked ;) )
