Stopped at Cabela's today and was browsing the used Gun Library and they had a Gen 4 26 for $400 in excellent condition. Looks almost unfired. Came with the box, two mags, trijicon Night sights which are pretty dead if you ask me.

I am a sucker for the Glock 26, especially the gen 4 (It was the first Glock I ever owned). I don't exactly need this gun as I already have a Gen 4 and don't carry it a ton but I didn't want to pass this up, at the worst I'll just sell to my dad or brother.

Two things I noticed about it, I'm still somewhat of a Glock novice so maybe some can enlighten me. 1.) It came with an envelope with two brass casings in it, I guess they were test rounds from the Glock factory? Didn't get that with my last 26, or my 43, or my 19.
2.) The magazines appear to be altered where it looks like someone removed the polymer around the magazine catch. Any idea what's up with that?

The test casings were required in some states, but it‘s no longer required so companies stopped including them with gun sales. If you’re talking about the steel inserts that you can see, that is how some mags shipped OEM; they look fine to me. Congrats on the new gun! I’m a big fan of the G26 and tried finding a Gen 4, but eventually broke down and picked up a Gen 5 as a backup for my competition gun. The finish on your gun looks great.

Makes sense, I only have Gen 5 magazines for my other 26 and they appear to have the polymer there.

The fired cases were for gun identification. It was a stupid idea which didn't pan out for the morons who thought it up.

As said previously, the mags came from Glock like that. I have several in my collection just like that.

If it were my gun, I would sell the mags and replace them with the latest orange #7 follower G26 mags. Botache sells new mags for $19.98. After recouping the cost of selling the old mags, you are only our of pocket like $5 -$10 for brand new mags, with new mag springs.

You can sell the sights and replace them as well.

Looks like a solid purchase. Good deal.

Check those night sights in complete darkness. You won’t see much in the daylight. Congrats on the G26. Great gun.

I sold the same gun for $500 -

My gun had a few thousand rounds through it - but I think I had an extra mag.

Your gun looks like it was never fired - or maybe a couple mags.

I never warmed up to the G26 - rather shoot the G19.

My guess is someone like me bought it - hated it - and sold it - giving you a great deal on a solid gun that will last you a lifetime.

All for $400.

Can't beat that -------------
