I had a problem with the recoil spring, but bent in the end of the spring and it then stayed under the washer and reassembled easily, I did replace it when Galloway introduced their stainless model.
I did also replace the sights with the XS sight, mine was way off to the left and I wasn't crazy about them anyway.

My wife and I both have one. No issues at all. Including shooting 90 grain extreme penetrators through it. I'd say between the two of us they have around 400 or so rounds through them between the two.

So, not a high round count on either but they are doing fine so far.

It's good to hear the good reports. I still want to get one but haven't yet. I even like the original design hammer fired BG with the heavy DAO trigger.

I wouldn't want a 2.5 lb trigger pull, so I hope that one was mostly just a fluke.

If the grip texture is too rough, if it is similar to a few of the Shield Pluses, use one of those fingernail emery boards to very GENTLY take just the tops off. All the Shields I bought (several for gifts) were fine out of the box except one, and the emery board fixed the texture in about a minute. Use a very light touch of course.

I picked up a brand new BG 2.0 a couple of days ago. Usually, with any new gun I purchase, I do my research concerning any issues with the gun, be it ammo or whatever. Well, this time, I just decided, based on the history of the BG, I'll just pick one up. Not until after I purchased it did I read that the 2.0 can have problems feeding flat-nosed or truncated cone-shaped bullets. Of course, for 380, I prefer Underwood's Extreme Defender ammo, specifically 68 +p and of course, I start reading about issues concerning that specific ammo feeding reliably with BG 2.0.

Anyway, I hit the range today with the following:

100 rounds of WWB 95gr FMJ
50 rounds of Fiocchi 90gr JHP
40 rounds of Federal HST 99gr JHP
40 rounds of Gold Dot 90gr JHP
40 rounds of Underwood Extreme Defender 68gr +p
40 rounds of Underwood Extreme Defender 69gr

The gun was lubed by me before the range, and I decided to start with the Fiocchi JHP. Initially, the Fiocchi would not feed, in any way, shape or form. So, I switched to the FMJ. First round out of the box it jam with a FTF. It would not feed this round at all. I look closely at the round and it looks like the edge of the casing is damaged. So I set that bullet aside and continue.

Then, like a miracle, the next 309 rounds run through my gun like butter. The JHP of Fiocchi, HST and Gold Dot, perfect. Lastly, the rounds I was worried about due to its design, ran without issue.

So, I'm going to run another 200 to 300 rounds through it, including more Extreme Defenders. If it runs fine, then I will carry it. Such an odd start but with a good finish.

The size, weight, ergo's, low recoil, makes this the best micro 380 I've ever owned. I'm so happy it cleared its issues and ran like a champion.

I considered buying a 2.0 myself. Went to a range that did "loaners" and the thin grip just felt too "loose" in my hand. I see that you've got some wrap around the grip... Hmmmmm. Now I'm having second thoughts. Also, as I age (I'm almost 77) I'm really enjoying shooting with an RDS. Just wondering if anyone has tried getting the gun "smithed" so that it can add an optic sight to it. (I really like the Holosun EPS Carry.)

Mine has been great since day one. Mags are tight and getting all 12 rounds in there takes a good loader. My recoil assembly isn't bad, but I did replace the original with a solid stainless single spring recoil assembly from Galloway Precision. Functions exactly the same but seating it in the slide for reassembly is a bit easier. It's got a good trigger, decent sights, and I can do a mag dump into a soft ball at 7 yards. For its intended purpose, I think it's just fine.

I bought the GP RSA last night. I would've bought it sooner, but it's been OOS for a while. They're having a sitewide 10% off sale this weekend. No code needed.

Desk Pop on YT made a video about a shop named Monsoon Tactical doing optic cuts on the BG2.0.

Got mine around November 2024. Out of the box, it was shooting 2 inches to the left at 5 yds. Also would not feed XD ammo. Havent had time to troubleshoot so for now it sits in a safe while the Ruger LCP Max which feess XDs stays in rotation.

I bought mine Oct '24. My sights are on, and I don't plan on changing them. I had the sticky magazine issue, but they smoothed out. S&W replaced my RSA and the new one is ok, but I ordered the Galloway Precision RSA last night. Mine won't feed Underwood XDs reliably yet, so I keep it loaded with Federal HST and Remington Ultimate Defense Golden Saber. I pocket carry with an AHolster pocket holster.

It is a bit picky. Fine with Hornady CD and Sig V Gold crown. Shooting left- either adjust the sights, or maybe its a trigger pull issue. I tend to pull left. Its so small its hard not to.

I had the OG laser one which was ugly as Fu@k!. I put thousands of rounds through before selling that for my current no laser /M&P / no thumb safety model ( discontinued. ) I finally have it broken in ,round count under 750 now. Bought a spare recoil spring set. (The hammer fired Bodyguards had un -captured recoil springs).
I will admire your Bodyguard 2.0 's from a distance.........(I dont want to be tempted)

I bought mine when they were first released. After it's first range session I took it apart for cleaning and the ejector fell out of the frame and into my lap. I sent it in for warranty repair. S&W kept it for about two months.

It runs fine now and I haven't had any other problems. I carry the pistol regularly and really do like the 2.0.

My Glock 43X will not function with flat nosed boolets. It also does not seem to like certain steel case Ammo. Magtech steel cased ammo will not feed in it. I get both failure to feed and failure to eject. I’ve had some spent steel case cartridges get so stuck they have to be pulled out with pliers.

The only issue I have seen is mine was finicky with critical defense ammo. I have seen polished the feed ramp but haven’t gotten a chance to try it out.
Similar here. My wife's 2.0 will not even begin to feed critical defense ammo, not even once. Gold Dots and other round nosed ammo are no problem. We like the sights and the trigger is excellent and not overly light on hers, although a light gun needs a lighter trigger pull to shoot well, especially so for a less experienced shooter. I have polished the feed ramp but didn't help with critical defense.

Initially an issue with the magazine followers. They would hang up intermittently when loading the 3rd round. I believe S&W has rectified the problem with newer guns. My fix was to shave the piece that got hung up on the mag catch hole. Otherwise it’s been flawless.
hey where did you shave down? I have the same issue sporadically with 1 mag.

Great choice in holsters.
I like that they cover the mag release.
