Looking at a rail for the rifle; a Geissele Super Duty 14.5. If I go with the standard MK 16 I will get an mlok rail mount and put a light on with a top pressure switch. I would do the same with a MK 4 rail. I saw it is the same rail on the Quantico Special. Is the MK 4 rail worth the replacement or just go with the MK 16? Full disclosure: Looking for duty grade durability and a little bit of FBI nostalgia. With the MK 4 rail. Is the juice worth the squeeze? I have an armorer and money is not the issue. Thanks!

See where the rail fits into the upper like a puzzle piece , if you change rails you wont have that secure locking system. The URGI was designed to try and give the Geissele stiff rail to a GI spec upper , it's a step back from the super duty.

I ask because the MK 4 fed rail apparently has an interior spine to prevent flex from the torque of a support hand. This apparently makes it a batter more durable rail. I was also told it does better for heat transfer. I can’t get the 14.5 PW with the MK 4 rail because of the install logistics and the removal needed for the muzzle device. I could if I got a 16 inch.
