Added this little honey to my Glock inventory today. Excellent condition. Hardly fired. Tritium sights. 3 factory mags. And the price was right. Literally bought it for a song.

Any .357 Sig fans out there? Please feel free to chime in.

If you have mastered the art of shooting and have a good grip, in my humble opinion, there is no finer carry pistol than this one. Lots of power, lots of rounds . I don’t care what anyone says, a magazine full of .357 Sig is a pretty formidable self-defense tool. With the right Underwood rounds (Xtreme Defenders for example), I can get those babies screaming close to rifle velocities, even from a short barrel like the G33. Here’s mine, a G27 converted to .357 Sig using a KKM barrel.

Had one for years but sold it. Good little pistol and I’d be happy to have one again. Nothing at all against 357 Sig, it’s a fine service caliber. I’ve carried a 31 and 32 on duty, and the 33 on occasion while off, but I don’t own anything in that caliber anymore.

Question out of ignorance since I have no experience with this caliber…
Is the ammo hard to find or expensive when comparing to more mainstream rounds?
About 2x as expensive as other, more mainstream rounds. It’s not a round you go to the range with to plink. A 200 round session with .357 Sig gets very expensive, very fast. But for a carry gun, doesn’t get any better.

The question is then, how do you stay proficient? Good question. Lots of dry firing for me, I reload for it and practice with .40

Thanks for reminding me. The Underwood ammo is definitely on my list.

A couple of friends of mine in the North Carolina State Police have been issued for quite a few years their service weapons in .357 Sig. And ofcourse their service issued weapon is a Sig Sauer. They have always spoken highly of the caliber. That was a big influence on me to obtain that caliber.

Love the 357 Sig round. It’s a wonderful platform. I carried a 33 off and on for sometime back about 10 years ago. I sold the 33 because my wife wouldn’t shoot it what so ever because it hurt her fingers. I ended up with another Glock she could shoot & have not really regretted it but I do miss that 33.
