Are you Reddit u/aqd3116? That's a novel idea. I assume you could Dremel the left side if you were to reverse the magazine catch.

It'll be interesting to see how this "redesign" compares to the PSA Micro Dagger™ 15-round polymer G43X/G48 magazine. I'm expecting a hybrid plastic/steel design something like this.
Does anybody know when the microdagger comes out? I looked up old posts saying it should be out by now. When it does I'm buying only one mag. I made the mistake of buying several s15's they jam like Beatles.

To those skeptical of running the Shield Arms 15-round mags in your 43X and 48, you can now run OEM 15-round mags instead.

Haha dremel go brrrr

Sorry brother, I am not putting a hacked-up OEM magazine in my carry firearm. Love the idea and the attempt but no way for anything other than the range. I personally wouldn't do that anyways because the lack of testing and having to modify an OEM item. If you make this in real life and get a patent, I will buy it.

I would not called it “hacked-up”. Homie just dremeled the polymer off one side of the mag

Has anyone here tried this?

I have quite a few G19 mags and might sacrifice one, for science.

Also, strictly for range use.

After reading this, I’m also wondering if a half shucked G43x mag would fit in a 43? Be nice to have an oem’ish 10rd mag for the 43.

To me, the only purpose for a 43X/48 would specifically for when travelling to 10 round states, particularly the 48 since it will give the same sight picture as my 19. I have no use for one with 15 round mags, as at that point I may as well just carry a G19, which shoots better, is more reliable and uses 15 round standard Glock OEM mags, and is no more difficult for me to conceal IWB. I believe all these micro compact 9mm pistols with lots and lots of rounds stuffed into small magazines really narrows the reliability window. I still have no real use for a 43X/48 since at that point it's just as easy to carry a 19 since both will need to be IWB.

Come to think of it, if I need to be in a 10 round state, I'd rather have a .45 like a Glock 30 or HK45C. If I can only have ten bullets I'd like them to be big ones.

No one here in Glock-Fudd Central has tried it. They’re too busy nostalgia-lizing the days of the frying pan finish.

A shaved 43X/48 mag might fit in a 43. Maybe a 26 mag too if all the polymer is removed too.

I thought about a fully shucked 26 mag, but it won’t work; you need the shelf for the mag catch.

I’m probably going to try the half shaved 43x mag I’m in the 43 as having a dependable 10rd 43 mag would be great.

Gotcha, so there is nothing on the metal to catch like there is on S15 mags if a 26 mag was naked-ed.

Then you're left having to replace the OEM Glock G43X/G48 polymer magazine catch with a steel magazine catch. Many of us would prefer to leave our OEM Glock G43X/G48 stock and have our fingers crossed the PSA Micro Dagger™ 15-round polymer G43X/G48 magazine will prove to be as reliable as an OEM Glock magazine.
I’m just wishing PSA will soon offer a 43/CR920 size frame with a 10 or 12 round mag. The 43x/48 frame is just too long for me to conceal.

I don't know about a 10-round G43-size frame, but I can envision a 15-round Micro Dagger™ G43X/G48-size frame (prototype pictured on the right) cut down to the height of a G43 frame (mockup depicted on the left) capable of holding 10 rounds with a PSA hybrid polymer/steel magazine.

Exactly what I’m thinking

Yeah, the Glock 43 that should have gone into production as soon as the 43x/48 were introduced.

I second that.
