PSA has sold on the order of 50,000 complete Dagger™ pistols in nine months while slowly ramping up production. That doesn't necessarily include Dagger™ frames sold à la carte (different serial number prefix). Many Dagger™ owners had never owned a gun. I'll go out on a limb and suggest most Dagger™ owners had never owned a "Glock" (whether OEM or aftermarket). I think this is all the more reason to use solid pins that can be easily removed and replaced.
Not sure where you are coming from.
The "self pity" is very strong here. Boo-hoo.
This should not be a knock on PSA Daggers. They made some good functional guns that - CAN use Glock internals and slide components if the User wishes to change them out.

They did hobbyists, people without mechanical skills, just plain lazy or can't be bothered, the curious, and budgeters and deal finders, and generic buyers, a huge favor for not having to build their own 80%. So what? .....if they had some quality issues with barrels (and they owned up to that and are in the process of remedy) and pin holes in the frame are not to GLOCK factory specs. Take a drill bit and easily fix that.
Ultimately you are paying less than what a USED beat up Glock would cost, and less than you buying the 80% parts yourself.

If you expect a Lexus, don't buy a Kia.
Buy a Glock, if you want a Glock.
A used Glock works just as well as a new Glock, sometimes better.

Be nice MacGyver. 😂

How much do you think PSA saved in manufacturing costs per Dagger™ in using roll pins vs solid pins? It certainly wasn't worth the countless headaches it has created.

The Dagger™ trigger pin is only proprietary because it had to be redesigned (along with other Dagger™ parts) in an attempt to address the Walking Trigger Pin Issue.

The Dagger™ trigger housing and locking block roll pins are proprietary because they're larger in diameter than OEM Glock and aftermarket pins. However, they're also proprietary due to the fact they're shorter in length. This is a consequence of the unique ergonomics of the Dagger™ frame. So even if PSA had used solid trigger housing and locking block pins, they may still have been proprietary, however, at least you should have been able to remove and replace them without using a hammer. I think the use of roll pins was an extremely poor design decision on PSA's part.

I've actually approached a major firearm parts manufacturer that sells popular aftermarket Glock pin sets in hopes of having Dagger™ solid pin sets made. I sent them spare Dagger™ pins. I offered to loan them a Dagger™ frame. I haven't had any luck to date.
So they should have used solid pins so it’s easier to needlessly take apart?

I get that you’re fixated on the dagger but that makes no sense.

I agree Wickedbeernut. These pins are simply too large in diameter. I tried to insert one through the trigger block with it outside of the gun; only the tip will move into the hole. Solid pins would be a big improvement
The pins are fine. You did this to yourself.

PSA is a quality company, The Dagger is a very good pistol that has better quality parts than Glock has. Who the f--k cares about pins, they will be handled. Where were the Glock guys screaming when Glock had all the problems it did MANY TIMES. Lots a guys stuck your heads in the sand, And the problems were far far bigger than a pin. The Dagger is a runaway success and the new models will also be a great success. I.ve put lots of rounds through my Dagger and it has run perfect without one issue. The Dagger is twice the gun at half the price!

why would you even need to take apart the trigger assembly for basic cleaning??? I've owned a lot of semi-auto pistols and unless replacing a trigger I've NEVER had to take pins/screws out for basic cleaning. Never had a trigger malfunction. Basic cleaning and using non-corrosive powder blast very sparingly always works. Unless something is broken or you are replacing parts - leave it assembled and just field strip it to slide/frame/barrel/recoil spring level.
