WTC Jumper being alive after hitting the ground?

Terminal Velocity and How Far Does a Human Fall?
It takes about 12 seconds to reach 97% of terminal velocity. During that period, a human would fall about 455 metres.

I believe T.V. is about 125mph, so 12sec or 1365 ft free fall will get you there. It isn't the fall, but the sudden stop and or what you land on will get you too.

Around 120mph spreadeagle. 150 to 180mph head down, exact speed is determined by drag & body size.

When I had turned the television on after hearing the radio, I saw the 2nd plane hit in real time, but at that moment I thought it was a replay of the first plane hitting.

It always bothered me that the news, even FNC, didn’t show the true and whole story. And that would be the bodies impacting the ground…

gross? Traumatizing? Yup! And it’ll help people to not forget.

what I think is traumatizing is someone on one of those planes telling their small child it’ll be ok when they know it won’t…and what’s even more baffling is how 100people couldn’t overrun 5 people with knives….

...no one wanted to be at the front of the rush and take the slicing for the rest of the team...so they all just sat down and complied, like good little sheep. Now we know better...they're not going to 'fly to Cuba and release everyone after their demands are met'...you fight back and maybe live, or you sit there and definitely die. Your only choices.

People jump off the Golden Gate Bridge,
About a 220ft fall to water, depending if the tide is coming in or going out. Not close to terminal velocity when impact occurs.
There have been a few survivors, to few to hardly mention and I have no idea their physical/mental condition after years of treatment. Most perished and went to the promise land.
That water, from that height is solid

About 30 have survived the jump off the Golden Gate Bridge. Less than 20 have come forward, but all that did come forward said the same thing, as soon as they cleared the rail, they knew it was a mistake and wanted to live. Apparently the USCG keeps a keen eye on that area, and many were pulled out quickly.

One of the most haunting things I’ve read about 9/11 is that, presumably a jumper, was alive and conscious after hitting the pavement. The account comes from a writer from the Boston Globe. One of the rescue workers walked over to where some of the maimed bodies were and one woman was alive and conscious with ONLY her head and right side of torso intact, and she said “I’m alive, call my daughter, I’m still alive.”

First of all it’s incredibly sad and haunting. Secondly is that even physically possible?

I considered it’s just a fable from 9/11 someone made up, or the writer himself before I believed that to be true. At least I hope that’s not true.
