So we keeping told at the 43 and 43x barrels are the same, but I just so happen to pick up a 43x the other day and look at the barrels and they're different inside for sure as well as the wall thickness. Anybody else have any info on this?

While Glock has sometimes lagged a bit in revising their parts list to reflect new changes, the current (9.11.2019) list shows the G43 and G48 barrels, but nothing specifically for the G43X. This would make me think both of the 43's used the same barrel, at least initially (wouldn't surprise me if Glock changed something in the last month or so and it hasn't yet been reflected in a revised list).

Perhaps Mike-M might see the thread and have some updated knowledge. I haven't spoken to the region's Glock rep since the after the G43's were released, so I haven't discussed (or seen) any 43X/48 guns. Like the Gen4 models, the Gen5 models can only be bought New here in CA by currently active peace officers (due to our Roster), and I haven't recertified as a Glock armorer since the release of the 43X/48 guns.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Glock slip-streaming some barrel changes into the little single stacks, though, because of the GMB used in the 48. It might simplify barrel manufacturing.

Fastbolt, that's very informative as I didn't know. But I just bought this... And it also came with ameriglo Spartan sights. I don't know where the guy got it where I bought it. But the barrels are 100% definitely different at least on the inside, the rifling may be a little bit different but I can't tell as of right now.

I want ahead and clicked on the link, and I see that the 48 had a crown and they were putting those in the gen-5. I guess mine is a newer 43x cuz it has the crown and a match Barrel. So I guess that makes me happy, especially for 350 brand new with Kydex holster

I'd imagine a call or email to Glock, perhaps giving them the numbers on the L/side of the barrel chambers (pics if an email), might help get an answer.

Dunno if the difference between dot-matrix vs. stamped numbers on the L/side of the chambers mean anything, as manufacturing processes (including equipment) can change.

I've seen revisions and changes visible in a number of barrels for another company's plastic guns, and they occurred in barrels made and shipped over the course of only a few months. Nothing really surprises me anymore when it comes to what gun companies are doing. ;)

Thank you very much for being so informative, my next step was to call and talk to glock cuz they've been helpful with all my other ones. But I figured I'd ask on here first on a whim.
