I was out and about today looking for something to waste money on since it’s been raining for a week. I saw this in the gun shop. I said “ hay. I should blow $30 on this “. The hole for the roll pin was not big enough so I had to drill it. I could have probably driven it through but it would be too stiff after the fact to function properly. I was disappointed, their triggers are made so well I just expected more. Has anyone else used this bolt catch?

Tons of folks more tier 1 than both of us use this. Surprised you had issues...

I do like it. I was just surprised that it slipped through quality control. Geissele makes excellent parts and I’ve never had any issues. There are a couple of online retailers with holiday sales on SSA triggers right now.

It's not impossible you got a knock off...

I don't get it. Was it like a kit? Seems like it would be. I'd have taken it back

I went to a Shop in Ohio I had never been to before. It was that shop where there are four older guys sitting there having coffee and talking about the world. They had a whole wall full of Geissele and ALG triggers. I will have to wait until next weekend to bring it back. The gentleman at the counter said he puts them on all of his riffles. The steel is really hard. I could get a good drill bit and some cutting oil and drill it myself. I also tried to put a threaded pin from an Aero lower through it, no go. iATTACH=full]556240[/ATTACH]

Well, to install you have to remove one,.....So.....did use the pin you removed. Did you try that.
OHIO????when you go out and about you don't fool around:laughing:

Here’s an update. I drilled it out. I only broke one drill bit. I couldn’t find a titanium bit the right size. Only Lowe’s was open today. That’s some hard stuff.

I try to put those bolt catches on all of my rifles. I love them. How tight does that Zev recover set for together?

Could it have been that your pin may have been slightly oversized? Never seen that part before , but I’m Tier 7b, Not Tier 1, so that may explain it.

*Note* 7b is the beer drinking, non-fudd, occasionally shoot team. Now accepting applications.

The Zev Core is solid, I bought it as a complete rifle. There wasn’t a lot I needed to upgrade on it. I was thinking about getting another stripped ZEV lower for a build. They run about $125 though. I did order a Geissele SSA trigger from PSA they were on sale for $179 over Easter weekend. I’m turning into a bit of a trigger snob lately and it’s getting expensive.

GlockPride- I don’t think it was the pin, I had an Aero lower as well with the threaded pin and it wouldn’t go through the hole either but It’s GTG now.
