Hey guys,

Just picked up a Springfield XDM .45 from Grab A Gun. Seems like a sweet gun at a great price. Loaded with features: threaded barrel, suppressor height sights, 3 mags, ambi mag release, “match” trigger and barrel brand new all for $400. Love my glocks and will continue to carry them but looks like they’ve got something to look out for. Thinking this will make a great start for getting a new suppressor which I’m working on now.

Anyways: anyone know why the 9mm version of this is roughly $130 more? Haven’t shot mine yet but if all goes well i was thinking of getting one as well. Anyone have one?

I got one last year in FDE. I LOVE shooting it with my Silencerco Hybrid hanging off the front. I put a Streamlight on the rail, and it's a ton of fun. Really good house gun, too.

Different feel, different trigger than a Glock, of course. It's really solid, though - especially for the money. I was looking at the FN tacticool 45, but the XDM was waaaay cheaper, and I like the trigger better. So, no brainer, I got the XDM. Haven't looked back...

Enjoy the pistol - I sure do!

I have an XDM 3.8 .45. Real nice gun and handles .45 nice. I also picked up two SC XD mod2's. A 9mm and a .45. IMO the mod 2 shoots .45 even more comfortable than my XDM does. I rented a .40 Mod 2 at the range and was surprised how comfortable it is shooting .40 Springfield just came out with an XDS .45 with the Mod 2 grip. Something about that Mod 2 grip just fits my hand just right.

In 45, the Mod2s have the same capacity as the XDMs. In fact, the mags interchange.

Congrats OP, cool gun at a good price.

I have a Mod 2 "service" and a subcompact in 45. I really like them.

I just purchased the same gun, went to the range today, very nice shooter and very accurate.

The dealer told me Springfield is clearing these models out thus the bargain price. I payed $429.00 great gun for the price, very impressed with Springfield quality.

Last month I bought the granddaughter a used XD mod 2 bi-tone tactical w/5 hi cap mags for $400 out of the local paper. It fits her hand like a glove. She's been tearing up the local USPSA production class shoots since. I much prefer their grip over any glock I've handled. And the reliability rate seems the same, too.

Yes - Silencerco Hybrid

It's a little large/heavy for pistol applications, to be honest, but it works, it fits all my suppress-able guns, and it's what I have. The suppressor sights on the XDM just barely sneak over the can. I've shot the same can on my G19 with standard sights, and it works as well either way. The extra weight out there makes the things rock-steady when I shoot it...

That's the one I've been looking at and would love to get it for the versatility it has.
