Blackhawk No Latch Ambi Charging Handle?

Hello,
Has anyone seen or used the new for 2017 BLACKHAWK! No Latch Ambi Charging Handle? Seems like a neat concept. It uses flat spring to hold it in place.

I have an AR Pistol I am in need of an Ambi Charging Handle.

My biggest issue is the polymer handle, not the latch. SLR makes a charging handle that uses a similar latching mechanism but it's all aluminum. Strike Industries uses an internal latching system.

I have Raptor CH's on both my AR's. I've handled a few different types and wouldn't switch for anything.

It's a neat concept and I don't have any experience with this exact product but have seen others that operate in the same fashion(SLR i think?). Personally would never use one on my rifle, as it will cause extreme wear to the upper receiver.

If you want a top quality ambi charging handle you can't go wrong with either the raptor, bcm or geissele.

Actually, the ball bearing latch would cause less wear. Look at any AR and you'll see how much wear that area has. The Geissele is like an updated Raptor. If you run suppressed, the Geissele is a better choice as it has a raised rear area to block blow back gases. I think the BCM is crap and pinches your fingers if you grab it wrong and it's pretty easy to grab it wrong.

I have a raptor on one and a BCM on another. I like them both. The raptor has softer edges. They both have raised rear ledge to help prevent gassing to the face.

I'm not a lefty, but I sometimes use the charging handle with the pinky side of my hand on the right side handle. Also my brother is a lefty and he appreciates having it when we're out shooting.

Myself I don't get the big deal on charging handles. Now I do like the one with the extended latch.
I'm totally right handed but have no problem with left for that thing.
What am I missing? Maybe I should try one for OJT?

I thought the same thing before I tried a Raptor. I ordered one as soon as I got home. 2nd build got one from the start.
