G19X Aftermarket frame help

First post and all....Hello.

I bought this sad G19X a few years ago for $175.00.

Someone had cut the grip down to G-26 length and in the process fused the backstarp to the frame with their ham-handed stippling.

Oddly enough it shoots well but I'd like to get an aftermarket frame for it....Heck, an OEM frame would be fine.

My problem is that the aftermarket frame sites I've looked into are about as clear as mud as to if their frames fit an 19X.

I've no idea what generation it is but the serial has a BHUA prefix.

Any leads would be appreciated.

Thanks

I love my original Glocks, but I have purchased two PSA Dagger (Glock clone) frames , and I have been VERY satisfied with them. Right now, PSA has a two-fer combo on sale. A full size frame (G17 equiv.) plus a compact frame (G19 equiv.), both for $99 total.

I guess that I should have been more exact in my description of the Dagger frames. As Frankengunbuilder pointed out, the Dagger S frame is actually the equivalent of a G19x frame, rather than a G17 frame. But as such, it should be perfect for the OP.

Glock will replace that frame for $100, it's a simple quick process. Your other option is one of Nomad Defense 9x frames which are outstanding. I have 2 Nomad 9x two tone frames (OD and FDE) running ZEV slides and love them. Additionally, I just sent a 34 gen 5 frame two months ago that I bought cheap offline with a horrible stipple job back to Glock without issue, sent in a stripped frame and received back a complete frame.

I called Glock this morning and they EMed me an instruction package for a new frame.

I have already taken it to my FFL, they did their thing, and it's headed to Glock now.

Thanks for your help, it's greatly appreciated.

BTW....The guy on the phone told me just to send the whole pistol in minus the mag, that way they can make sure the new frame fits right and they can test fire it so that is what I did.

As to frame color it's pretty much dependent on what they have on hand. I'm perfectly fine with black if that's all they have.

Last I knew, you can send the firearm to a manufacturer directly, without involving an FFL. This is based on federal law, some states may prohibit it. Also, when I had to return a defective G34 frame, they sent me the replacement directly, but that was about 20 years ago.

I’m sure they have 19x frames available. Post a pic when it’s back, I would love to see it repaired. They will probably rebuild the slide also. At the end of the day, if you end up with a new frame for under $200 out of pocket and you only paid $175 for the pistol to begin with, I say that’s not bad for a pretty much rebuilt 19x.

The only aftermarket frame that sorta suited me was well over twice the cost of what Glock charged for the new frame ($106 with tax) and they did all the work.

All I had to do was just ship the whole pistol to them by Priority Mail through my FFL. $20.00.

They put the new frame on it, test fired, and shipped it back (2-day air), free of charge.

I paid $27.00 for the transfer/VA State Police check and that was it.....Pretty painless and I did not have to "settle" for something else I really did not want.

It even came with a letter showing the serial number was changed with the frame change and the old frame destroyed.....Good riddance to bad rubbish I say. ;)
