MH, first of all do the 200gr hard cast rounds plunk test ok? 2nd, what is the exact failure mode? Do you have pics of the failure? I ran hundreds of full power 200gr hard cast thru my Gen 3 G20 with the only change being a 24lb ISMI recoil spring and captured stainless guide rod.

It’s funny. I waited forever for the Glock 20 Gen 5. Frustrated, I bought the M&P 2.0. I’ve been completely satisfied with it. No issues for me with the magazine drops but, as odd as it sounds, I haven’t talked to a lefty yet that has experienced that. It handles even the manliest 10mm with aplomb. I’m not the biggest fan of the trigger but very satisfied with the gun overall and glad Glock was late to the game.

By "plunk test," do you mean, "can they chamber?" If so, yes. Failure to feed. No photos.

I've shared video in which it's abundantly clear that I'm not hitting the mag release, if that's what you're implying. It's an actual mechanical defect that was present in many of the early M&P 10mms.

OP has an ammo problem not a pistol problem.
Lol, no. Don't make excuses for Glock. It's a 10mm pistol, and it won't run the most popular factory ammo for predator defense, i.e., the number one reason why people buy 10mm pistols in 2024.

That's inexcusable 🤷‍♂️

I wasn’t implying anything. I reversed the magazine release. I’ve heard theories about torque on the grip releasing the magazine and such. Have no idea.

Have you called Glock? I did not see that mentioned in the thread. I bet they know the secret sauce for those loads. I cannot imagine that they wouldn’t buy that ammo and test it in their gun.

The original 10mm Norma Auto loads were a bit hotter than the original 10mm loads envisioned by D&D, and Cooper, in the development of the 10mm.
I still have a few boxes of the original Norma loads. I bought a very early Colt Delta Elite, and there were some frame cracking issues. Although mine was fine, I decided it might not be the best idea to shoot those Norma loads, so I saved them. Still have them. Boy did they emit an impressive flame when fired… Most people on the range assumed I was just shooting a 1911, and they did a double take when I would fire my Delta Elite.

Ah, ok. When I had the problem, a lot of people tried to blame it on me hitting the mag release. It was extremely frustrating.

Contact Lost River Ammunition Co. in Idaho and see if he will send you a sample pack of 5-10 rounds to test.

OP, I'll give you tree.fiddy for the Gen5 G20.

I have been able to put rounds through a friend's Gen5 20 with no issues

I have a Gen3 20, and Glockzilla that eats everything and .40.

I also have a Mp2.0 best millimeter that eats everything. I did get it early on and had feed issues, however SW gave me replacement mag springs and it meow functions flawless as my glocks.

Not all things created equal there may be an issue with yours. You could attempt to polish like someone else stated, or maybe contact glock for warranty.
