They'll take one of every model that they currently make and field strip them. Toss the frames and slides in a pile, and mix them all up. Select one of each at random, and if they will 1) fit together and function, and 2) aren't already a 'thing,' that'll be the 'new' G50. If those two don't meet criteria 1 and 2 above, they'll select two more and try them. Lather, rinse, and repeat.

Since a muzzle brake makes .50 cal useable; seems with that style or design of brake on a pistol; imagine .556 or .308. Could even port it too.

or a Glock with .410 in a magazine. Would one up the Judge revolver.

a polymer Glock AR 15.

What would the cost difference be with how they machine the current slide and doing it like the older folded plate with the front piece welded on and the rear block pinned in like how they did the older model Sigs?
