Which 2011

Depends on what you want to do with the gun. Range toy or carry piece? The Prodigy is heavier. (steel frame) which means it will be more fun to shoot at the range. The Staccato is available with an alloy frame which will make it about 5 ounces lighter for carry. If you just want a range toy and can afford $700 more the Staccato in steel would be nice too. Should look at the Staccato C2 as a better comparison to the Prodigy FWIW..

If you don't care about weight and $700 is a lot of scratch to you then look hard at the Prodigy. No doubt the Staccato is a higher quality gun. But the Prodigy fills a niche too.

Speaking from experience with several Staccatos (P, C, & C2)...between the two, spend the extra and/or wait a little longer, if you can and get the P. Several P's have sold on GB in the "reasonable" range if you don't mind used.

That said, I am searching for a reasonably priced Prodigy as a "throw down" gun...LOL. Seriously, I am looking, just to play with it and use it as a bedside gun (once vetted). Not real thrilled about having my $3K "P" (as it's configured) confiscated for ANY length of time if there's a need to use it for home defense.

Does anyone know anything about the Oracle 2311? It seems kind of intriguing.
Uses P320 pattern mags...that's where I stopped reading. Too many Glock mags (currently evaluating the Platypus as an option) and 2011 pattern mags. Have some of the P320 mags, but would rather put some extra $$ toward a couple more 2011 pattern mags for my P or a Prodigy.
