So you’re in an environment where concealment must be absolutely unoticable, like volunteering in a homeless shelter as this precious victim was. This is when having a S&W 442 Airweight in the right front pocket or left depending upon your orientation is ideal. I know of indviduals who will carry an airweight in a front pocket even when they are toting another semi-auto in a concealment holster. The main benefit I see is the ability to quickly get a shot off in close quarters.

I’ve never been able to pocket carry in anything except a coat or the pants cargo pockets. I don’t know how you do it.
I was the same way too. I could barely tolerate anything in my front pockets.

I started pocket carrying a .32 Seecamp in a Ryan Grizzle leather pocket holster, with a spare magazine in a Grizzle pocket magazine carrier in my left pocket.

The Seecamp "seasoned" me to pocket carry, and after a few years I moved up to a G42, and a few months later, a G43.

Now it's a 442 .38 snub.

9mm Kahr PM9 is smaller than a snub and holds two more bullets:

If weight is a factor, then the LCP 380 which is smaller, lighter and holds two more bullets:

In before, but ... 380 bullet performance, whatever  , choose the right bullet.

Looser fitting pants with bigger pockets are key. As far as jeans go, the relaxed fit Duluth Trading fit the bill nicely.

There is a reason the .380 is still going strong after 100 years. How many calibers have came and went in that time?

I say the same thing about .38 Special, 9MM and the .45 ACP. All have been around over 100 years, there's a reason...

This was a liberal elitist social worker. There is no way in hell she would ever carry a gun, no matter what it was, even if you gave it to her and gave her training in how to use it, even if all for free.

By far not my preferred carry mode. It is easily accomplished with the proper holster though.

I like pocket carry, too, but the biggest I can do (other than in a jacket pocket) is a BG .380 or LCP M size. Men's clothing pockets are usually bigger than women's, though.

How very sad about the murder victim. Prayers for her loved ones.

A revolver barrel can be shoved into a attacker.. and fired repeatedly… a semi goes out of battery..
Revolers have a place in my rotation.. just for that reason… wrestling on the ground with a attacker.. snubbie barrel stuffed in their bread basket… then empty the cylinder.. messy .. but a fight stopper
