Glock 34 Gen 5 is the best CC handgun of all time

Could you expound on your reasons?

I like my G34 (Gen 4) quite well but it's more for HD and competition. Like @bossharp I prefer my G35 (which also has a 9mm conversion barrel). Oddly enough, for me, my G35 (with either barrel) is more accurate than my G34. Go figure :)

If I were to go back to carrying a Glock I imagine it would be the G45.

If by CC you mean CONCEALED carry you are wrong. Even the G19 is is a little hard to comfortably conceal but is way better than the G19 or the even larger G34.
I'd suggest it really depends on the person's body type/size/weight. The first Glock I carried off duty was a G17. Carried OWB under a T-shirt and you'd never know I was carrying. I can carry a G21 like that as well, and do when I'm walking a trail.

Ok, so Glock decided to make a 5th generation of their best gun for many reasons. With the larger back strap it feels like a handgun should. The larger size also reduces recoil for better follow up shots AND the longer length actually improves concealment based upon the keel effect.

marketing departments have brainwashed otherwise intelligent people into thinking smaller and narrower is more concealable. But with the right holster and alignment a larger gun is sometimes better. This is what I have found to be the case.

Look, I like my p365xl with WC lower, a TD proledge and katana base. But when drawing and firing it is just another compact. It doesn’t have the right feel (for me) and it doesn’t carry any better than the 34/5 imho.

The G48 solved a lot of issues I had always had with Glocks. I don't have big hands (insert hilarious comments here). The grip fits me better than a double-stack (though I have acquired a G17 since). And the 4"-plus barrel makes it so much easier to shoot well than shorter-barreled guns. It's the pistol that made me a Glocker.

I have a G34 and think it is a great range gun and that it carries really well in a Safariland Duty holster. However, for concealed carry, no firearm is better than the Sig P365.

I CC a Gen 5 Glock 17. FOR ME, it is more comfortable to carry than my S&W Shield Plus. I find the grip more comfortable than my Gen 4 Glock 23. I use to have a G43X and G48 MOS, but the super thin grips were hard for me to shoot to my accuracy standards.

The Gen 5 G17 is easy for my to carry because the longer balances better on my belt with an iwb holster (Vedder LightTuck). From how I wear my holster, the barrel/holster doesn’t push up when seated. A G34 will probably do that for me if I carried it. I can also comfortably carry a full size 1911 in the same model holster.
