Hey everyone,

I am interested to hear what you all think are the best deals running right now for new or used guns.

I've often heard people say things like "I should have bought a crate of _____ gun when they were selling for $x 5 years ago, and now they are going for $5x!".

I sure many of us have similar regrets considering hindsight is 20/20. So what do you think are the best commonly available deals that 5 years from now we are all going to wish we had jumped on? What do you feel is severely undervalued that will shoot up in price?

Here is my entry: the Zastava M92 PAP Pistol.

http://www.jgsales.com/yugo-zastava...-m92pv-ak-style-pistol,-krinkov-pattern,-7.62x39,-wood-stock,-new.-p-57965.html

They can be had from J&G Sales right now for only $399. I bought one of these a couple years ago for $460 and sold it for $985 during the recent panic. I figure it's hard to lose at that price point and bought another one a couple of weeks ago.

These guns also have a few things going for them. The Zastava factory is widely recognized as one of the best for building AKs. Since these are imported in pistol form, they don't have to be 922r compliant, and therefore are A) not messed with at all by Century Arms, and B) are completely original with no Tapco trigger group, etc. Since they count as a pistol they can also be legally concealed, which comes in handy if you want to keep it loaded in your truck.

I figure I'll shoot it and have a little fun with it. Then, when the next election draws near, I'll use it as trade fodder for something I like better or sell it outright and make a few hundred bucks. If the next panic that comes along is anything like the last few, there won't be an AK variant of any kind selling for under $700.

So what guns do you guys predict will end up being great buys in a few years? I'd like to hear some of your picks, and reasons as to why.

There are a couple of gun shops that gouged customers during the "panic" that have lost my business. Planing to coerce a few bucks from fellow citizens during a crisis, real or perceived, is something that rubs my conscious raw.

So you're saying that everyone who sold guns during the last panic "rubs your concience raw"? I'm guessing you've also got no money at all in stocks then, because, as you know, when someone is willing to pay more for them than you did that's when the price goes up. You've also got to remember that those stores that were gouging prices could only do so because people were willing to pay them.

Finally, don't you think those that had foresight and wisely bought well before the election should be rewarded over those who waited until the crisis? There is an old Greek fable about an ant and a grasshopper... but I digress.

buy low sell high the american way no shame in a profit

Law enforcement trade in's seem to be a good deal' seen some crazy low prices on barely used weapons....

IMHO, and i may be wrong. Sig SP2022 in trhe low $400 area, Sig CPO's in the high $400 to low $500 price. Also Glock blue label LEO priced pistols. I realize not everyone is a LEO and can get the Glock blue label LEO price. This is JMHO.

Where have you been getting these from, and for how much?
They've been coming in for years now, but they won't last forever.

One of the first rounds of importation was the Austrian Border Police HP's... which came in steel and alloy. (Top Left, Steel)

The Israeli stuff was next (Right top and bottom, Parked MK III's)

The bottom left is a one of a kind. It is very, very special to me... and there is only one other I've come across on the web:

Kahr CW380. Everything that makes the P380 the best of the micro pocket pistols, but sold at the same price level as LCP et al.

Anticipated for a year, now available. If you don't already have one, I'd grab one before they get scarce.

What's the story behind the eagle marked gun? It almost looks like a Nazi logo. Very cool either way.
