Did I read the article too quickly?
So, presumably, the causes of action which arose prior to the acquittal ... so, running from the day of/after the acquital? Yet, counting even from the very last day of 2013 acquital date, a 'sloppy' six yrs. Hum....

    Per GooGoo...

Although, if one considers that Harper whichacallit may be the only deep pockets.... from a slander/libel/similar standpoint, limitations period runs from EACH AND SUBSEQUENT instances of "publication" ...(not limited to physical 'publishing' of the book itself.)

It is amazing to me how many people don’t understand the facts of this case.

I’ve met several folks who were involved with his case. All of them say he was a pretty normal guy - about average intelligence, but a guy that really wanted to make his community better.

Since the anal reaming by the “special prosecutor” and the media, he’s been pretty screwed up.

If GZ had shot a white tweakier, it would not have made the morning news. Or if TM had been shot by another black “leaner”, his name would not be known outside of the thug/thug wanna “comurnity”.

Oh you are talking about the GZ that had 1 maybe 2 instances of domestic violence prior to his infamous night? That "normal" guy? :dunno:

I'm glad I'm not "normal" enough to beat my wife. I think our standards for "normal" are not the same. :headscratch:

Or if he didn't shoot at all he probably would have continued to have his head smashed into the concrete and be dead......

I would bet someone is taking it on a contingency fee basis.

As Morgan & Morgan says down here, “ if you don’t win, you don’t pay. “

He should have stayed in the car as dispatch requested. HH

In the nearest greater metro NW of here, it would have been in some circles referred to as a "Buckeye Misdemeanor" - particularly on the very west/SW side of said city.

We, as a country, need to protect what is ours. Not sit back, call the police, and hope they even show up in time.

Criminals aren't scared. At most they get a slap on the wrist.

I've been in GZ's situtation and potentially prevented multiple cars from being broken into. People who work hard for their property and don't deserve some thug taking what isn't theirs.

To my knowledge it was 1) a suggestion, and 2) not a legally-binding request. The woman was a dispatcher with no legal authority to order anything. Depending on how you choose to look at it, that can be a weak argument, but it's still valid IMO.

When the whole circus first happened, I supported him. But as time went on, he's been revealed to be a real moron of epic proportions.

That being said, it can't be easy being in his shoes. I'm sure he wakes up every day wishing he had never heard of Trayvon Martin. For that matter, so do I....Martin's death gave rise to BLM.

Would have been in his best interest. But he was under no obligation to follow their advice.

If I recall correctly, he said he was following him and the dispatcher said "We don't need you to do that."

Nothing illegal about it. He later explained that he didn't want trayvon to get away and was following to help direct pd to him.

In the past someone he called the cops on got away.

GZ crawls back into the headlines like a zombie from a Romero movie.

No big deal, though. GZ is an average idiot who, as a past time celebrity, attracts all kinds of shyster lawyers.

We are a nation of litigation. It's scarcely about justice (whatever that means in today's terms anyway), it's about sticking it to each other, settling scores, shaking down whatever pockets, winning pissing contests.

    We shouldn't be surprised.

So what was it one (1) or two (2)?

What was the credibility of the "victim"?

And when was it? Was the claim (or discovery) before, or after, the TM innocent?

Was there ever an actual conviction ? Or were the claims against GZ not proven or dropped?

I think ALL of this matters on if I considered GZ "normal" at the time of the TM incident.

Have you ever had a claim against you that was completely false? I have. It was a real PITA to prove that several folks "of color" that colluded with each other were lying; but I did (prove them to be lying), and some of them lost their job over it.

The bothersome thing to me is the prosecutors knew that the girlfriends had been switched..folks, this is criminal fraud...I don't care what you think of GZ, this is terrible ethical behavior on the part of the state. How many other times have they done it. It makes you question everything they have done.

In hind sight, GZ probably should have stayed in the car, but he didn't do anything illegal...Martin was the aggressor here....too bad it ended the way it did..I have a feeling Trayvon was just another thuglet building his way up...
